SHINE ON!

FireWorks Spirit Night 10/7, Fire Truck visits 10/6 and 10/7

Happy Saturday all!! Our Sunbeams impressed Ms. Blaire with their ready smiles and SHINE-ing behavior during our Picture Days! You will receive an email directly from Second Ave Photography/Blaire Ring with proofs and ordering instructions. We will offer retakes next week.

In Music, we met our Composer of the month: Aaron Copeland. We listened to "Hoedown" from his ballet "Rodeo". Our music term is "tempo": how fast or slow the music is. We decided that Copeland's Hoedown is the perfect example of fast tempo!!

In Chapel, we were reminded that God always keeps his promises when we read the story of Abraham and Sarah having baby Isaac! Abraham and Sarah had to be patient waiting for God to fulfill his promise of a baby. Similarly, we may need to be patient waiting for God to answer our prayers but God is always loving us!

October's color and shape of the month are orange and circle...quite conducive to Fall/pumpkin fun!

The Fire Trucks and Fire Fighters are coming to visit on Monday and Tuesday morning! We are currently concentrating on Fire safety and prevention so we cannot wait to share our knowledge with our friends from Station 20 next week!

Join us on Tuesday, October 7th at Fireworks Pizza in downtown Leesburg from 4-9pm for Spirit Night!! Don't forget to mention GBP when dining in or getting carry out! FireWorks will donate 10% of sales to GBP.

October Enrichment sign ups are posted below. October Creative Movement started October 1st but there are spots available if you're interested in joining us. Art and STEM classes begin on Monday and Tuesday. Art is full but we have openings in Tuesday STEM.

Calling all Vendors/Local artisans: GBP 's annual Vendor Fair is November 12th and 13th in Asbury Hall (meeting hall above the preschool). See flyer below for Vendor Application!

We have a couple openings in our 3s and 4s classes. If you know of you anyone looking for a preschool family, send them our way! We also have a couple openings in our Friday Enrichment class. Friday Frogs is open to current Bees and Owls (4s) and T/TH 3s. The class meets every Friday from 9am-12pm and is STEM based. Contact Ms. Heather to sign up or for more information.

Please remember to pull up as far as possible on Wirt Street during drop off and pick up. Also, please do not block the driveway to the left of the Wirt Street doors, we do not own that property. Lastly, please remember (and share with anyone else who may pick up your children): our Owls and Bees are in their classrooms until Noon. If you arrive before noon to pick up your Owls/Bees/siblings, please remain in your vehicle so you can pull up when other parents leave.
