From the Principal's Desk
Dear Salt Creek Families,
What an amazing evening we had at our Fall Fest last night! It was wonderful to see such a huge turnout from our Salt Creek community. Seeing all of our Little Vikings dressed up in their costumes, smiling, laughing, and having such a great time made the evening truly special. Our students had a blast playing games, collecting candy, and enjoying all of the fun activities that our parents and staff helped run. Events like this are a great reminder of what makes Salt Creek such a special place!
I want to send a HUGE thank you to our FTC for organizing and putting together such a fantastic event! I also want to thank all of the parents, staff members, and volunteers who gave their time to help make the evening such a success. We truly appreciate everyone's hard work, generosity, and continued support of our school. It takes a great school community to make events like this happen, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful families and staff at Salt Creek.
As we continue celebrating the fall season, we are excited for our upcoming Halloween classroom parties and parades on Thursday, October 29th! Students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to school for the entire day. We do ask that families keep a few important guidelines in mind to help ensure a safe and enjoyable day for everyone:
Students may wear their costumes all day.
No costume masks or weapons are permitted at school.
Students should arrive with any costume makeup already applied, as we will not be reapplying makeup throughout the school day.
Please make sure costumes are comfortable and allow students to participate in their regular school activities.

Families are welcome to join us for our All-School Halloween Parade at 2:05 PM. We ask that everyone please line up behind the cones on the blacktop to watch our students parade around in their costumes. This will help us keep a clear and safe path for our students as they walk through the parade. We are looking forward to seeing all of the creative costumes and sharing another fun Salt Creek tradition with our families.
Thank you again for everything you do to support our students, staff, and school. We have so much to celebrate, and it has been wonderful seeing our school community come together for these special events. We are looking forward to another exciting couple of weeks filled with fun, learning, and plenty of Halloween excitement.

Our Lost & Found is growing fast. Please have your students check for any items they may have misplaced. We have a collection of sweatshirts, jackets, hats, and other miscellaneous items.
We are trying to pack the house at Willowbrook with volunteers ages 5-??? to help feed starving children in other countries. This is not a school-sponsored event, but if you and your family want to grab a team on Saturday in November, please come! And help to spread the word! By volunteering, donating, or fundraising, your generosity makes a huge difference in the lives of thousands of children in need around the world. Attention Parents - School doors open at 7:40 am. There is no staff supervision prior to this time. Classes start at 7:50 am.
Students who come in late find it harder to establish a good morning routine at school. Teachers are beginning instruction and a late student is missing out. Thank you for your assistance in making sure your students arrive to school on time!

Choose "Add" in the top right and you will have this purple form icon added to your phone home screen!
Overdue Breakfast/ Lunch Balances
Don't forget to check and pay any overdue lunch balances. You can check balances and pay on your parent Skyward account. You can also send cash or check payment to school with your child in a marked envelope with name and what payment is for. The office will then account for the cash or check payment on your student's Skyward.
In your parent portal in skyward, click on the fee payment tile, then in the far right hand top corner click on the "make online payments" button. This will take you to Revtrak. Make sure to sign up before you try to make payment. Once you can sign in, click the Make a Payment button in the middle of the page. This new service will streamline the payments so you can make a payment or set up recurring payments. This is directly connected to Skyward so you see the money immediately go to your child's account. If you have any questions please email or call your school office.
Preschool Payments: Once in Revtrak you will see in the upper right area an arrow next to SHOP. Click the arrow and pick Preschool in order for you to complete your payment. If you have any questions please email or call the Salt Creek school office.
