The Buzz

We are so excited to be fully utilizing our updated library! RVS students are loving the updated, kiddo-friendly furniture, calm lighting, and awesome artwork that includes many of their favorite book characters. We hope this updated space will go a long way in drawing students into the library more frequently, getting our books out into the hands of readers! We would especially like to thank the Sullivan Family, whose generous donation to RVS enabled us to fund this project. Stop in and check it out next time you are in the building!

• The fourth grade class will be heading out on a field trip to UES for our first transition activity of the school year next Thursday, 2/22. We will be having snack with some new 4th grade friends at UES and staying for a 5th grade talent show. We will leave at 8:15AM and will return to school around 11AM.
• Winter break is coming up from 2/26 - 3/4. The last day of school will be a full day on Friday, 2/23.
• Please note that the student early dismissal scheduled for April 15th has been moved to April 8th. Bridges care will be available.
• PLEASE CONTINUE SENDING WINTER GEAR! We almost had to cancel Forest Friday this week because so many students are arriving without gloves, etc. - most of our school supply has walked out of the building with students and has not returned, leaving us with very little to lend out to students. Please keep in mind that we still need children coming with appropriate gear through the end of winter to be able to offer this programming safely. Thank you!

We all enjoyed seeing many fantastic stories, hearing Meredith play the fiddle, and getting a chance to join in by creating our own clapping patterns at last week's crankie show! We especially loved the stories about SPRING!

• Next meeting THIS TUESDAY (Feb 13th, 5pm) virtually at this link: https://meet.google.com/oro-wtvc-iza
