Veterans Day Assembly
Tuesday, November 11th @ 10:00 AM । Kinsner Elementary
We are inviting veterans and their families to our Veterans Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 11th at 10 AM in the Kinsner Elementary Gym. Please fill out the paper form sent home and return to your child’s teacher by Friday, November 7th. If you're in need of another paper copy, please let us know! You can reach out to the office: Mary Marconi at mmarconi@scsmustangs.org
This event will be live streamed on the Strongsville website. Due to the size of the gym along with the number of families in attendance we aren’t able to have all grades in the gym at once. Historically, this means that 4th and 5th graders will attend the event assembly portion, while K-3 will watch that part within the classroom.
Artstonia
Kinsner Elementary School invites parents to connect with their child's art classroom activities through Artsonia, an online platform. By scanning the provided QR code or visiting www.artsonia.com/parents and entering the Parent Code DD5HZT6R, parents can receive important updates and stay connected with their child's art progress and projects. This is a great way to stay involved and support your child’s creativity!
Counselor's Corner
Kinsner Food Drive
We are excited to announce the Kinsner Food Drive taking place from November 10th through November 25th, 2025. Donations can be dropped off at the Kinsner Media Center during this time.
This year, we are supporting the Strongsville Food Bank, and they have shared a list of their most needed items: all sizes of pasta, tomato-based pasta sauce, all cereals, peanut butter and jelly (all sizes), tuna (5 oz cans), snacks like popcorn and Pop-Tarts, and baked boxed goods such as brownie and cake mixes.
Additionally, they welcome personal care and household items like shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, laundry detergent, and dish soap. Your generous contributions make a big difference in our community, and we thank you for your support!
Type One Diabetes
This document summarizes important information about type 1 diabetes, prepared by the Ohio Department of Health as required by Ohio Revised Code 3707.61 and 3313.7118. The first law mandates the creation of informational materials on type 1 diabetes for parents, guardians, educators, and others responsible for children’s care.
The shared material explains that type 1 diabetes is a chronic autoimmune disease usually starting in childhood or adolescence, requiring daily insulin management. It highlights key facts such as risk factors (family history, possible environmental triggers), symptoms (increased thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, blurry vision, etc.), and the importance of screening, especially for those with family history or autoimmune conditions. It also describes the three stages of type 1 diabetes progression and stresses that while there is no cure, the disease can be managed successfully with a care plan developed with healthcare providers.
This information is shared to ensure that parents, guardians, and educators are informed about type 1 diabetes, its signs, risk factors, and management, supporting early detection and proper care for students.
Ski Club
We are excited to announce the Strongsville Mustangs Ski Club, a fun and engaging 5-week program starting January 9th at Brandywine Ski Resort! Celebrating our Published Author!
We are thrilled to celebrate a wonderful accomplishment by one of our own—third grade teacher Meredith Wise! Meredith, an experienced SCS educator with over 20 years of dedication, is debuting her middle-grade book, Wild Wonders: Yellowstone, this weekend. This magical adventure story, along with a companion Yellowstone coloring book, invites young readers to explore and appreciate the beauty of nature. Meredith’s passion for inspiring children to love reading and the world around them shines through her work. Please join us in congratulating her on this exciting milestone, a true testament to the amazing talent within our Kinsner community!
