Hello Navigators,

I was so excited to be back on campus this week. I was able to see our students engaged in learning, happy and acting as the Leaders I know they can be. The end of the school year is quite exciting and fun, but also quite busy with events.

On Friday, May 19th, at 6 PM, our drama club will present Beauty and the Beast. Please join us and check our our amazing show! See this flyer for the details.

The school district will hold a Fentanyl Awareness meeting on May 16 beginning at 5:30 PM in the Oceanside High School Performing Arts Center. See this flyer for more information.

Please consider taking an active role in the PTO. If you are interested in taking a more active part in the PTO please fill out this form. There are different options and we would love the help.

Mark your calendar for our Open House on May 31st. It will begin with a PTO meeting at 5 and the event will be from 5:30-7. Can't wait to see you there.

We will continue to focus on Habit 6, Synergize - working together is better. Check out the Leader in Me portion of the newsletter for ideas of how Habit 6 can help at home and how you can help your child use this habit to work together.

Please join our PTO this year. The PTO does so much for our school and we do need your help. We know schedules are busy and there is no obligation for attending meetings or volunteering. We hope you will join to be a member and assist when/if you can.

This year every Wednesday will be a Spirit Day at Nichols. Wear blue or wear your Nichols gear. Due to a scheduling conflict the PTO was unable to sell Spirit Wear last week. Look for them after school. We will work to get consistent days and times.

We are so thrilled with out STEAM program. STEAM stands for Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We have Ms. Goulet who teaches the STEM parts of STEAM and Ms. Harmon who teaches Art. Check out the STEAM Newsletter for the latest information.

Oceanside Unified School District has partnered with Care Solace to help families in need of mental health support. This services can help quickly find available services. The After School Achievement Program, ASAP, provides Before & After School care. If you are interested in enrolling your scholar(s), please contact ASAP by calling 760-916-5224 or emailing nichols@asaposide.com.
