I hope you are enjoying your extended weekend and staying cool. School will be back in session on Tuesday and it will be Picture Day. Please encourage your child to dress nice on Tuesday for school pictures.

Also, Tuesday our volleyball team will host a best 3-of-5 area matchup with Winston County beginning at 4:30 along with a match with East Lawrence at 6:30. Students, it will be a White Out (yes, we are ignoring fashion tradition). Our junior high football team will travel to Carbon Hill on Tuesday. Volleyball will also travel to Red Bay on Thursday and Belgreen Saturday for tournament play.

Football will go on the road to J.B. Pennington on Friday. Pennington is in Blountsville, about two hours away.

As we announced earlier in the year, because our Homecoming week fell on Fall Break Week, the Homecoming game will be on Thursday, October 8 at 7pm.

The parade will be on Wednesday afternoon (October 7) at 2pm with a community pep rally immediately following. There will be a student bonfire fellowship at 8pm after church hours on Wednesday night. We know this is an inconvenience for some adults but it is in the best interest of our student and staff since they will be out of school on Thursday and Friday.
