Note from Mr. Moore:
Dear North Side Families,
Thank you for such a great start to the school year! From smooth routines and strong communication, to the excellence of our staff and the support of each of you, the high levels of student engagement make the culture of our North Side community shine. Your kids are amazing!
As we begin the year, I want to share two key parts of our philosophy:
High Expectations: We believe in greatness from everyone who walks through our doors. Our staff models a growth mindset daily, and we expect our students to be fully engaged learners who demonstrate NS PRIDE. Thanks to everyone, discipline referrals are down, academic achievement is up, and your children are growing in remarkable ways. While we are never perfect, we are always committed to learning, improving, and striving to be better each day.
Reading at Home vs. Homework: Instead of lots of homework, we ask every student to read at least five nights per week for 20 minutes. Reading is one of the most powerful ways to build lifelong success, and we are proud that so many of our families go above and beyond this expectation. Your support at home makes all the difference. (See key reading tips below).
Thank you for making North Side such a great place for students to learn and grow. We have much to be proud of and even more ahead—I cannot wait to see all we accomplish together this year!
Sincerely,
Chad Moore
Principal, North Side Elementary
