This week, there was amazing teaching and learning going on!

• Second grade was focusing on "fast and efficient" ways to use a number line. Students were challenged to use counting strategies during work places. Students were engaged in conversations and used appropriate math vocabulary. Strategies were posted for students to use as supports.
• Room 11 had an amazing speech lesson that worked to develop sounds, social skills, and following directions. Students loved their spider sandwiches.
• Pilots learned about the Commitment and Ownership keys. Let's reinforce using ears, eyes, mouths, hands and feet that are kind.
• Kindergarteners were using craft sticks to count and tally. They were making groups of 5 and even learning about doubles. Multiple students used the word "subitize"!

Here is an optional sign up for SEL lessons on Flexibility and Balance! These lessons can be used as needed by teachers to fill in a 30 min vacancy in lesson plans or schedule during conference week.
We will have availability the following week to finish up lessons for those who need them!
