Message to Families from Dr. Dixon
Dear Judson ISD Families,
This week, our schools celebrated Red Ribbon Week, and campuses across the district were filled with fun dress-up days, creative activities, and important reminders about living a drug-free life.
At first glance, dressing up to match a daily slogan may seem a little silly, but those fun and memorable experiences help reinforce an important message, especially for our younger students. Every day, we want our children to find the confidence and courage to use their own voices to say no to drugs and other harmful influences.
Families play a huge role in that effort. One of the most powerful things you can do is have meaningful conversations with your children. Remind them that they have the ability to make good choices, stand up for themselves, and say no to things or people that could put them in harm's way.
Thank you for helping make Red Ribbon Week a success. We know keeping up with dress-up days can sometimes feel like one more thing on an already busy family calendar, and we appreciate all the effort you put into helping your children participate.
As we head into the Halloween weekend, I hope your family enjoys time together, whether you're attending community events, trick-or-treating, or simply making memories at home. Have fun, stay safe, and look out for one another.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for all you do to support the students of Judson ISD.
Dr. Ann Dixon
Interim Superintendent
Red Ribbon Week Fun
Students and staff got creative with the daily dress-up themes, showing off everything from crazy socks and colorful outfits to favorite team gear and more. While the costumes and themed outfits made the week exciting, they also helped reinforce the important message of making healthy choices and staying drug-free. Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the week such a success!
