We are collecting socks! Collected donations will be shared at the Tiger Care Center. As many of you know, when a student visits the Tiger Care Center, some of the things they receive are new socks and undergarments. Please help those in need!

Hello Families,

The New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) invites you to its first-ever Parent University, a special two-day event designed to support families of children with special education needs.

This is a wonderful opportunity to equip yourselves with the knowledge, resources, and tools to navigate special education services and supports. You'll hear from highly qualified presenters and receive comprehensive resources to help your child succeed.

Key Event Details:

• When: Friday, October 17 – Saturday, October 18

• Where: Berna Facio Professional Development Center, 3315 Louisiana Boulevard Northeast, Albuquerque, NM 87110

• Lodging: Assistance is available for families traveling more than 60 miles. All the important details are included in the registration form.

Family Fun Day at the ABQ BioPark Zoo!

Enjoy a day of adventure and connection at the ABQ BioPark Zoo, just a short drive from the conference center! Tickets are provided free of charge to all conference attendees. Families can explore animal exhibits, participate in hands-on activities, and experience the joy of learning together.

We encourage parents/guardians to contact our district's Call Center by calling the Let's Talk line to excuse student absences. Folks at the central office are ready to help. This allows the school's office staff to direct more of their attention to the needs of our students, staff and parents throughout the day.

If you are unable to speak to someone directly at the APS Call Center, please leave a detailed voicemail with your name, your child's first/last name, the name of the school, the date of the absence, and the absence reason.

In addition to assisting with attendance matters, Call Center personnel are also available to help you access your parent Powerschool account, provide information about upcoming school event dates/times, answer general questions about a variety of topics (or put you in touch with the appropriate department or staff member who can), and listen to any concerns or suggestions for improvement, as well as shout-outs or celebrations. For these additional topics, you may call, text, use the Let's Talk app, or submit a message via that area within the district's website (found on the Contact page).

• 4Y students attend all day.

2:20 – Dismissal for 3Y (PM) and 4Y students
