Hello TVMS families,

We are off to a great start this school year! This week, administrators met with each grade level during their science classes to review school procedures and the student code of conduct. Our Timberwolves did a fantastic job engaging in these conversations, and we are proud of the positive energy and respectful community they are building together.

We hope to see many families next Thursday, September 4th at our Back to School Night. Classroom visits start at 6:30 pm, with some specialty meetings beforehand. Please see the details below.

As we settle into the school year, it's important that we also take steps to maintain a clean and healthy environment for all students and staff. I am asking for your help keeping our school pest-free all year long and want to share a few things to keep in mind as you send your child to school each day. Since food is one of the main reasons rodents try to get inside a building, please consider the following guidance:

  • Send snacks and lunches in sealed, hard plastic or metal containers rather than loose in bags. Rodents can easily chew through paper and thin plastic.
  • Use reusable lunchboxes with zipper closures, and make sure the zipper fully closes.
  • Send foods with strong odors like peanut butter and sweet treats in airtight containers.
  • Remind your child to bring home any uneaten food daily—don’t store snacks in desks, lockers or cubbies overnight.
  • Make it a routine to empty and wipe down lunchboxes every day.

Together, we make TVMS a great place to learn and grow.

Mrs. Denise Young

Principal

Important: Update your Student/ Family Emergency Information Today! Important: Update your Student/ Family Emergency Information Today!

This must be updated each school year

Parents/guardians must verify and/or update emergency information for each child every school year. This is completed online in Family File, which has several new updates including how and where to access. Full details on updating your Family File are available online.

One exciting new feature is that families now can submit a change of address via Family File, rather than completing a separate form and sending to their school.

Full directions and information for families on this new process can be found online.
