Lanoka Harbor School Newsletter
October 2026
Back to School Night was well attended. It was wonderful to see so many parents! Thank you for joining us. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s program or progress. Your child’s progress and well-being are important to us!
Individual teachers are planning their Halloween celebrations. Some teachers may ask a few parents to come into school and assist. Your child’s teacher will contact you. For our students' safety, parents and visitors are asked not to wear costumes. Your cooperation is appreciated.
The PTO will be in the main office foyer to assign passes to parents who are asked to assist in the classroom and/or for regular child sign-out. ALL PARENTS MUST BRING IDENTIFICATION. OUR PTO VOLUNTEERS MAY NOT KNOW YOU AND ARE REQUIRED TO ASK FOR ID.
Some students do not like to dress for Halloween. Students do not have to dress in costume. However, if they choose to dress up, all costumes and accessories must be brought to school in a bag. Students may not wear masks on the bus. We suggest applying all make-up at home.
We thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Theresa Kilmurray, Principal
Jessica Cellini, Supervisor
Marisa Kleber, Supervisor

Happy Fall Lanoka families!
October is here, and we have lots of fun things happening with the Lanoka Harbor School PTO!
From spirit wear to Fall fundraisers, there are plenty of ways to get involved and support our students, teachers, and school community.
First, we would like to thank everyone who has joined the PTO so far! Your membership helps us to continue to provide special events, activities, and to support our school. While our membership drive ends October 16th, families can still join throughout the year at http://lanokaharborpto.ptboard.com. The class that has the most families signed up by October 16th will win a popsicle party, so don't wait!
Boo Grams are coming! Get ready to send a little Halloween fun to your child or a friend. Forms will be going home soon. Each gram will be $1.00 and delivered to the students during school to take home.
Get ready to get messy, get colorful and HAVE FUN! Our 4th Annual Color Run is October 27th at 5:30 pm.(Registration begins at 4:45 pm) Flyers have been sent home and students can be registered by scanning the QR code on the flyer or by visiting https://donate.schoolathon.org/
This year we coincided October's Restaurant Night with the Color Run. Visit Chipotle after the Color Run, between 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and they will generously donate a portion of your bill to the PTO.
Don't forget to show them your flyer or use code "G99QEGA" if ordering on line.
Spirit wear orders are due October 14th. If you've been meaning to grab your Lanoka Harbor School gear, now is the time! Ordering is on line only and can be found at https://shorelifedesigns.com/lanoka-harbor-school/shop/home. Orders will be delivered to school and sent home 2-3 weeks after the store closes.
Fall means pie! Our annual pie sale with Waretown Bakery is coming up and what a delicious way to support the PTO. Keep an eye out for the flyer coming home soon with ordering information, types of pies, and important order deadlines.
As always, THANK YOU for supporting the Lanoka Harbor School PTO!
