Dear District 15 Community,

As we welcome the arrival of spring, we eagerly anticipate longer days, warmer weather, and the renewed energy that comes with the season. This time of year is especially exciting in District 15, as students continue to build knowledge, making meaningful connections and growing as learners. I am quite proud of our curious students as well as the unwavering commitment of our staff in providing engaging and enriching experiences that set our students up for success.

As we move through the final few months of the school year, daily attendance remains essential. We appreciate your partnership in ensuring students are present, ready to learn, and supported in tackling new challenges every day.

Thank you to everyone—parents, caregivers, staff, and community members—who play a role in fostering our students’ growth and success. Together, we are creating #LimitlessPossibilities for every student!

We are thrilled to celebrate an outstanding teacher who has been named to the Illinois State Board of Education's "Those Who Excel" list this year! Congratulations to Jennifer Carey on receiving an Award of Meritorious Service. We are so lucky to have her positive impact in District 15.

Introducing CLA’s New Broadcast Club

A group of students at Conyers Learning Academy recently debuted their first broadcast video of the year! Students in the Broadcast Club are led by Mr. Kooiker, but hold all of the responsibility when it comes to planning, filming, editing, and producing their videos.

The Broadcast Club is a powerful outlet for students to explore new interests, hone in on their creativity, and take responsibility for their learning. They are currently working on their second video of the year and in the process of launching a mini-mentor program where students will help teach their peers the new skills they're learning. Thanks to Mr. Kooiker for being an incredible leader for students!

Coming Soon - ParentSquare

We are excited to share that District 15 is transitioning to ParentSquare, a new and improved communication platform designed to streamline school-to-home communication. This platform will serve as a one-stop shop for all district communication and offers a more user-friendly and engaging experience for families.

You will continue receiving emails and texts as usual, and you do not ever need to download the app to receive D15 messages. However, we encourage you to download the ParentSquare app (iOS or Android) to keep all D15 communication in one place, starting next year.

To activate your account, visit ParentSquare and log in using the same email address you currently receive D15 communications with. You can also watch this video (English | Spanish) to help you get started.

Thank you for your support as we make this transition. We’re excited about the ways ParentSquare will enhance communication and engagement for our families, and we look forward to rolling out even more features in the future!

Website Tip

Our upgraded website is easier to navigate than ever, but sometimes it’s still challenging to find exactly what you’re looking for. We recommend utilizing the “search” bar in the upper right hand corner of the page. It is an extremely robust feature of our new website host that we want everyone to take advantage of!

We’re Hiring!

At District 15, you'll find a community of faculty and staff deeply committed to fostering both academic rigor and character development in our students. Join us, and you'll have an opportunity to contribute to an empowering learning environment where you can have a lasting impact on the next generation of leaders. View open positions and apply today!

Every student—new and returning—must register each year. We encourage families to register their child(ren) as early as possible. Learn more about the registration process on our website.

District 15 will be transitioning from Infinite Campus to PowerSchool in 2025-26. All families will need to create their PowerSchool account in order to register for school for next year. Thank you for your timely action as we launch this new system. We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible.

Registering early helps us solidify staffing for our schools, allows your child(ren) to be placed on a class list, and allows your child(ren) to ride a bus to and from school. Registration MUST be completed and student fees must be paid by July 15, 2025. With close to 12,000 students to place in a classroom and on bus routes, we ask that you please do your part and register on or before July 15.
