Message from Mr. Beierman
Hello Twin Bluff Middle School families!
I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break and spent some quality time together. It’s hard to believe we are already entering the month of April. The snow is melting, mud is everywhere, and we have just two months of school left together this year!
April is always a busy time as we begin the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA’s) at Twin Bluff Middle School. We will start testing on April 14th. Students will take the reading assessments April 14–16 and the mathematics assessments April 21–24. Grade 5 students will also complete the science assessment from April 28 to May 1. We ask that you help your student be successful by ensuring they get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast. We will continue to offer our “grab and go” breakfast each morning so all students are ready to start their day.
We will also participate in Severe Weather Awareness Week, which is scheduled for April 13–17, 2026. During the week, students will review safety procedures for severe weather. We will practice a tornado drill during the statewide tornado drill on Thursday, April 16th at 1:45 PM. Families are also encouraged to participate at home that same day at 6:45 PM. During both drills, community sirens will sound to initiate the practice.
In addition, we are excited to begin a Bus Stop & Walk Program starting April 8th. This program will take place every Wednesday, weather permitting, through May 13, 2026. We will drop students off at the track, and we will complete a lap around the track before heading into the building for breakfast. This is a great opportunity for students to get some fresh air, build healthy habits, and connect with peers and staff in a positive way.
We have also seen an increase in online reports of inappropriate behavior and unkind posts on social media platforms as we move into the spring months. If you haven’t recently checked in on your student’s online activity, now is a great time to do so. While we will continue to communicate with families when concerns arise, proactive monitoring at home is one of the most effective ways to prevent issues.
Thank you for supporting our students each and every day—we truly appreciate all that you do!

Students of the Month

Pictured below: Yeinly Quino Segura, Clara Rortvedt, Belle White-Jenson, Lucas Plein, Riley Plote, Ava Smyth, and Ari Gustafson. Great job everyone!!
Cell phone policy reminder:
We appreciate your partnership in helping us maintain a focused learning environment during the school day. Students have done a great job this year following our cell phone expectations, and we want to keep that momentum going.
Most phone-related concerns happen when students use their phones to text or call parents about after-school plans or questions that can wait until the end of the day. We ask families to please avoid texting or calling students during school hours. If you need to get a message to your child during the day, please contact the front office, and we will make sure the message gets to them. Students who need to contact home during the school day are always welcome to ask a teacher to use a school phone.

Any student that will be taking prescription medications at school will need an Authorization to Administer Medication form signed by a parent and a provider. Medication is required to be in the original container with the most recent prescription label. Medical Conditions such as Asthma, Seizures, Diabetes, Etc will need an action plan from the student's provider as well. Any student that is found to have a medication that is not pre-approved by the nurse will have medication confiscated and parents will be called.

Homework Requests & Make-up Work
If a student is absent for a single day, the student may obtain any make-up work from the teacher upon returning to school. If a student will be absent for multiple days, homework may be requested by emailing the teacher directly. A staff email directory can be found on the link below or you can find emails in ParentVue.
Deliveries to Students
Please ensure your children arrive at school in possession of everything they need for the day, including homework, lunch, musical instruments, sporting equipment, and their chromebook. Lunches from DoorDash or other delivery services are not allowed.

The Yearbook Club celebrated the end of an incredible year and I just have to say—what an amazing group of students.
Their hard work, creativity, and dedication truly made this yearbook something special. They pushed through deadlines, challenges, and long hours, and the final result reflects just how much they cared.
I also want to give a huge shout-out to their parents and families—thank you for supporting these talented students every step of the way. You’ve raised some truly outstanding young people.
To my yearbook staff: I am so proud of each and every one of you. This book is your legacy, and you should feel incredibly proud of what you accomplished 💙
