Creative Culinary Creations in Mrs. Morse's Class
Students in Mrs. Morse's Culinary Arts class recently put their recipe reading and writing skills to the test by crafting their own appetizer recipes using only ingredients available in the foods lab. With a mix of creativity and resourcefulness, they designed unique and flavorful dishes, showcasing their understanding of culinary techniques. As they worked, a sense of pride and enthusiasm filled the kitchen, with students eager to share and sample each other’s creations. The activity not only reinforced their ability to follow and develop recipes but also encouraged collaboration and innovation in the kitchen.
Face Painting Brings Colorful Fun to Literacy Night
Face painting was once again a highlight of Literacy Night, drawing excitement from elementary students. High school volunteers spent two nonstop hours transforming faces with colorful designs, bringing popular characters and imaginative creations to life. From Spider-Man and snakes to delicate flowers and whimsical unicorns, the artistic talents of the high school students added an extra layer of fun to the event.

Rock-Paper-Scissors Showdown Unites Students in Friendly Competition
Sources of Strength organized a school-wide Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament to foster unity and create a fun-filled atmosphere.
In the morning, students received a beaded necklace upon arrival. Throughout the day, they competed in Rock-Paper-Scissors matches during passing time and lunch, collecting their opponents’ beads with each victory. To challenge a staff member, students needed a minimum of five necklaces. The event culminated in an exciting final round, where the entire school cheered on the top 16 competitors. Ultimately, Grant emerged as the champion, earning a $20 Kwik Trip gift card. It was a memorable and enjoyable event for all!
