Broadmoor's Weekly Wildcat News!
May 17, 2026
Dear BES Families,
We Blasted Off into Learning this year and I could not be more proud of our amazing students! This is our last Weekly Wildcat News for the 25-26 school year.
We have our field day tomorrow. All the details are below. It is an all day event, but we do take a break at lunch. You are welcome to join us for the morning and afternoon, but we do not have space or accommodations for families to join us at lunch. In case of rain, our field day will be inside and we cannot accommodate extra guests throughout the building. Thank you for understanding!
On Wednesday, we will be starting our end of the year assembly and talent show at 8:30am. Dismissal is at 11:05am.
Please check your homes for library books and read Nurse Candice's information below regarding medications.
PTO held a wonderful "Peace Out" breakfast for our 5th graders this past Friday. We want to wish our 5th graders the very best - they are going to love middle school and they are READY!
We want to wish the very best to those who are moving on from Broadmoor. On Tuesday, we will be celebrating the retirement of Diana Moore. They have been a huge part of our Wildcat Family and they will all be missed!

Support For Our Families
Hello Wildcat Family and Friends!
The USD 416 Social Worker/Counseling team created a Community Resource Guide to assist our families with a wide array of resources that families in need may find helpful. Resources include everything from free Prom Boutiques, utility assistance, mental health and so much more. If your family could use a little extra support, we hope you find our Community Resource Guide helpful. Please refer to the contact page on the Community Resource Guide website if you would like further assistance from your child's building Social Worker/Counselor.

Attendance and School Calendar
Please take note of our school calendars when planning your family's vacations.
Attendance is a focus at BES and we want your children at school! It can be very difficult for students to get caught up sometimes when they miss for extended periods of time. For example, when a student misses a week of school, that is up to 450 minutes of math instruction they are missing!
If your family does have a trip planned, we do not provide lessons or materials ahead of those trips. Teachers will work with you to schedule times when your student can be given that instruction and guided work time to ensure mastery of skills. This may have to happen before or after school, but we will also try to work during the school day as well.
GREAT school habits now help prepare students for future success!
