Students will be off on Monday and Tuesday of this week, but it is imperative that they return to us on Wednesday. Attendance in school not only affects student learning, but it also affects the funding our district receives to continue to educate our children. According to Bellaire's attendance data as reported on February 10th, we are trending in the wrong direction. Parents/Guardians, we need your assistance in the following ways:

• Students will be counted present as long as they are on campus at 10 AM. (Set appointments after this time.)
• We need students on campus by 7:40 AM to participate in full academically, but if they are late students will still be counted present as long as they arrive by 10AM.
• Turn in all notes to the office ASAP when a student is absent or use the QR code posted around the school to scan in absence letters.
• Parent notes can be turned in for absences that don't entail a medical note.

With your help, we can ensure that our students receive everything they deserve academically and financially.

The HEF drive for 2025 has begun and will end on March 3rd. The district is engaging in a friendly competition with schools on the south and north of Military. We can use your help in competing to win to raise the most money for our graduating seniors wanting to continue their education beyond high school. Below is a community contribution form you can turn in to our campus HEF representative, Ms. Therese Jimenez by March 3rd. We will also have copies available on campus for your convenience.

Shout out to our bobcats for creating valentines cards for the seniors at Southeast Nursing and Rehab. Ms. Rios's (Bellaire's Academic Dean), daughter works at the facility and delivered the valentines to the delight of the residents on Valentine's day. Our bobcats are displaying our core values of being respectful and responsible by bringing joy to others in a very thoughtful way.

The 2025 Cultural Arts Fair Cover Design Contest is now open! This year’s theme, "Mosaic of Cultures | Mosaico de Culturas," comes from the creative mind of 1st grade student Bradley Gonzales.

From construction paper mosaics to painted tiles or even photography, there are endless ways to bring this theme to life. Please encourage your students or children to participate. The winning design will be featured on the cover of this year’s Cultural Arts program!

Artwork submissions should be turned in to their campus front office by Tuesday, February 25.
