Final Forms

As you probably already know, SCSD has moved all enrollment packets to digital format through an app called Final Forms. Parents must have a viable email address/account in order to receive an email to set up an account with the Final Forms app. We are currently missing many enrollment packets for students at SCES. Our administrative team is currently in the process of contacting parents who are missing forms for their student's enrollment packet. Please contact the school asap if you need help with this process or to complete this packet.

Parent Portal/DOJO/SCES APP

Please contact Mrs. Paige Miller by phone at 229-524-5235 or through email at paige.miller@seminole.k12.ga.us if you do not have access to your student's parent portal. Parent portal ensures that you have access to all of your students' school information, including attendance, grades, and discipline. Parents may also have direct communication with your student's teacher by connecting with Class DOJO. Teachers will send invites to active email addresses or cell phone numbers to join each class. Lastly, all parents should download the free mobile app that is available on android or apple devices. Once downloaded, the school app will inform you of any school-wide events or changes that may take place. If you need help with any of these communication sources, please contact the school at 229-524-5235.

Student and Parent Surveys

Parents and Guardians,
Our students will be taking the Georgia Health Survey in the upcoming weeks to provide valuable feedback regarding the culture, climate, and safety at SCES. Because you are valuable stakeholders in our school system, we would appreciate your feedback as well. This survey is completely voluntary and anonymous.

Please visit this link to complete the questionnaire. It should take no more than a few minutes of your time.

School Mornings Without the Stress - Child Mind Institute

During the school year, a cry is heard from parents across the land: Getting kids out the door Monday through Friday is a killer. What makes school mornings so hard? "They're kind of like a perfect storm," says David Anderson, PhD, a clinical psychologist at the Child Mind Institute.

FCC Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) Support

GaDOE wants to spread the word about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), administered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which provides families affordable access to internet services. The program is a long-term funding source not associated with pandemic relief funds. ACP assists eligible households in paying for home internet access by providing a credit of up to $30 per month toward internet service. Additionally, ACP provides a voucher of up to $100 per eligible household toward a one-time purchase of a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet.

Estimates indicate more than one million Georgia families qualify for ACP, but only half have applied. Income and enrollment in specified government programs, including the student free and reduced lunch program, determine eligibility for ACP.

The biggest hurdle to participation is the enrollment process which requires individual households to apply, and many may have trust and access concerns. Schools and districts are in the best position to help eligible families submit the online ACP application because they are trusted. However, your schools may not have sufficient staff to fulfill the outreach effort. To help, GaDOE has contracted with CTC Technology & Energy (CTC) to promote ACP enrollment for students and their families. CTC will assist districts with coordinating and executing an outreach effort, including reaching out to parents individually if requested. This service is free to all districts that want to take advantage of it. CTC will be reaching out to you over the next few weeks to see what services you would like them to provide to your district.

For more information about the services offered by CTC, please see the attached flyer and visit the Georgia Student Connect website at https://gastudentconnect.org/.
