After Friday's holiday concert, 20+ students were signed out of school. While we appreciate special moments with family & loved ones, our intention for offering student performances/events is NOT for students to miss school. When so many students miss instructional class time, teachers cannot move forward with lessons, plans, activities, etc. PLUS students are missing valuable time at school. We cannot stress enough as we head into this last week before winter break, the importance of attending school all day, every day.
Are there fun & festive things happening at school this week? YES.
Are teachers teaching this week? YES!
Are students learning this week? YES!!
Are there tests & assessments this week? YES!!!
