Dear Onahan Community,
Dear Onahan Community,
Keeping up with Chicago weather is always the theme in school! It has been toasty hot and chilly in recent days, and dressing for these changes is challenging.
Dress Code Reminder
Please take a moment to review our Onahan Dress Code at home. Recently, we’ve noticed slippers and other attire that do not meet expectations. Students should wear school-appropriate clothing and shoes with back straps (no flip flops or slippers). Pajamas are only for designated pajama days, and hats/hoods are not allowed in class. Spirit wear is always encouraged!
Thank you for your support in helping students come to school comfortable, safe, and ready to learn.
FEDERAL DEPLOYMENT RESOURCES LETTER
The news of federal deployment is on many of our minds. Here are some resources and information if needed, and please contact me directly at (773) 534-1181 if you need assistance. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1otPPEqF78HXO0KK5x21vzs8qekBEJHGowuE3TFVzSgQ/edit?usp=sharing
SPORTS
Fifth through 8th grade volleyball has started and the game schedule is out. Game day is Saturday, so come out and cheer on our teams. To see the schedule, scroll to the bottom of the newsletter and click on the link for CPS Score. Within the schedules there are tabs at the bottom. The girls' team will play at Taft and the Boys' will be at Mather.
READY, SET, SMILE!
Don't forget to order your yearbook! At the end of the year it is a real treat read.

SCHOOL FEES
If you haven’t already, please take a moment to pay your school fees. The fees help support our new HMH Into Reading and Into Literature curriculum—resources not fully covered by our budget. Thanks to the PTO and Friends of Onahan, we’ve received generous support, but family contributions are still needed to ensure all students have what they need. If your child qualifies for free lunch, you can request a waiver from the main office. Thank you for helping make this possible!
To pay student fees go to Epay (or go to onahanschool.org main page, very top corner) and use the chart below. You can select the option of One Time Payment rather than creating an account or logging in. You will need one student ID, and if you are a current student, that can be found on Aspen’s parent portal, a progress report or report card. If you are not able to pay the fees, please contact the main office at (773) 534-1180.
