E. Roy Bixby Elementary School

Dear Bixby School Parents/Guardians:

December truly flew by and was filled with joy and holiday cheer at Bixby School. We kicked off the season with our Holiday Spirit Week, which began with a special visit from the Grinch and brought lots of excitement to our school community. We were thrilled to welcome families to our Holiday Show on December 22, where our students did an amazing job performing and spreading holiday cheer. We are so proud of their hard work and enthusiasm. In the spirit of giving, our Toy Drive fundraiser was a tremendous success, collecting approximately 280 toys to support families in need. Thank you to our students, families, and staff for their generosity and kindness.

We hope you enjoyed a happy, healthy, and restful winter break. To kick off the new year, the PTO will be hosting a dress-down day on January 8. We look forward to a great start back together!

Sincerely,
Priscilla Ortiz
Principal

Each month the students of Bixby School work very hard to win either the character education award or the student of the month award. For the character education award, students were chosen who display qualities of being creative. The students receive certificates of achievement, an Applebee's gift certificate and a picture with the principal. Each class selects two students monthly to win this award. Congratulations to ALL!

The character trait for January will be Friendship.

Ms. Skrnich is an outstanding kindergarten teacher who brings enthusiasm, dedication, and positivity into everything she does. She consistently goes above and beyond for her students, creating a warm, engaging, and supportive learning environment where children thrive both academically and socially.

In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Skrnich contributes greatly to the entire school community by helping to manage and run our social media pages. Her efforts help highlight the wonderful events, achievements, and daily moments that make Bixby such a special place.

We are grateful for Ms. Skrnich’s commitment to her students, her colleagues, and the Bixby School community. Congratulations and thank you for all that you do!
