Wildcat PRIDE - February Celebration Wildcat PRIDE - February Celebration

The February Wildcat PRIDE Celebration was held on Friday, February 27th at 8:00 a.m. During the celebration, students were recognized by their teachers for exemplifying what it means to be a Wildcat by living out our five PRIDE traits: Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy.

Our next celebration will take place on Friday, March 27th at 8:00 a.m. in the auxiliary gym. If your student is selected, their classroom teacher will reach out to notify you.

We are proud of our Wildcats and look forward to honoring more students who demonstrate PRIDE every day!

Summer School Summer School

Summer School will be held June 1st through June 25th, Monday through Thursday (no Fridays), from 8:30–11:30 a.m. Breakfast will be available for students from 8:00–8:30 a.m., and lunch will be offered from 11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Lunch is optional for students attending the morning session. In addition, our After School Program (ASP) will run Monday through Thursday from 12:00–3:30 p.m. for families who would like extended afternoon programming. Transportation will be available in most cases; however, accommodations depend on location, available drivers, and bus capacity.

Summer School is open to all students entering grades 1–6. The program will be organized the same as last year and includes both Targeted Groups and General Groups. If your child has been recommended for Summer School, their teacher will discuss this with you at conferences and ask you to sign an agreement form. Families who would like their child to participate in a semi-structured, hands-on learning environment with peers may register for General Sessions. All parents must complete the registration form for each child attending Summer School or ASP and indicate transportation needs. General Sessions are filled based on the date of registration, so we encourage families to sign up as soon as possible.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions regarding our summer programs.

Kindergarten Round-Up Information Kindergarten Round-Up Information

Kindergarten Round-Up will take place on Thursday, March 5th. Please enter through the auxiliary gym doors on the southwest side of the building. A book fair will be set up on the east side of the gym, and we encourage you to stop by and visit. Kindergarten Round-Up activities will take place on the west half of the gym prior to the start of the parent presentation.

Please bring your child’s birth certificate and immunization records. You will also need to complete a registration form. Two different forms are attached:

  • In-District Registration Form: Complete this form if you live within the Cedar Bluffs Public Schools district.
  • Out-of-District Registration Form: Complete this form if you reside outside the district. This packet includes the option enrollment paperwork.

Our office staff will make copies of all documents and return your originals before you leave.

Shortly after 2:00 p.m., the kindergarten team will escort the Class of 2039 to the kindergarten classrooms. During this time, parents will attend a presentation where you will meet the kindergarten team, learn about daily schedules and expectations, and receive information about our Title I program. Building tours will be available following the presentation. You will then pick up your child from the kindergarten classrooms.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday!

Lunchroom Reminder Lunchroom Reminder

If your student brings their lunch from home, we kindly ask that you consider what is being packed—especially items that need to be heated.

While we do have a couple of microwaves available for student use, items that take longer than 1–2 minutes to heat can quickly create a long line. When several students are waiting to warm up their food, it reduces the amount of time they have to actually eat their lunch.

To help ensure all students have enough time to enjoy their meal, please try to send foods that require minimal heating or can be eaten without warming.

Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us make lunchtime a positive experience for everyone.

2026-2027 Preschool Application 2026-2027 Preschool Application

The preschool roster for the 2026–2027 school year will be finalized before the end of March. Once finalized, an email will be sent to all families who applied, informing them of their child’s enrollment status for next year.

An Open House will be held in April for families of students who are enrolled in the 2026–2027 preschool class. Additional details about the Open House will be shared with families at the time of the enrollment notification.
