Warm Welcome to Our Families! Warm Welcome to Our Families!

We are so grateful to be starting this new school year together with you! September is always an exciting month—students are settling into routines, making connections with their teachers and peers, and diving into new learning opportunities. It’s been wonderful to see the joy, growth, and curiosity already happening in our classrooms.

At Main Street, we value the strong partnership between school and home. Your support, encouragement, and collaboration make a huge difference in your child’s success, and we are thankful to walk alongside you this year.

As we move through September, we look forward to celebrating the small and big wins with our students, continuing to build a positive school community, and making sure every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

Thank you for being part of the Main Street family—we couldn’t do this work without you!

Warmly,

Main Street Administration Team

Tips to Stay Healthy Tips to Stay Healthy

As we start back to school, here are a few reminders to help your students stay healthy:

  • Remind or help your student to wash their hands as often as possible
  • Try to get plenty of rest
  • Try to get some outside time which is great for physical and mental health
  • Try to consume as many fruits and vegetables as possible

How Sick Is Too Sick? How Sick Is Too Sick?

There are four main reasons for children and adults to stay home:

  1. The child or staff member could infect others with a contagious illness, either because of symptoms, a diagnosis, or recent exposure to a contagious illness.
  2. The child or staff member does not feel well enough to take part in usual activities. For example, a child is overly tired, fussy, or will not stop crying.
  3. A child needs more care than teachers and staff can give while still caring for the other children.
  4. The child or staff member has symptoms or an illness on this list, and staying home is required.

In addition to the Department’s goal of providing healthy meals for students, the Department works to be an efficient, self-supporting enterprise program within the District.
