Making History at Cumberland Academy!

What an incredible week for Cumberland Academy High School! Our students made history both on the court and on the stage!

Our Lady Knights Volleyball team completed an outstanding first season in TAIAO Division 2, earning the title of North Regional Champions and finishing as Division 2 State Runner-Up! We are incredibly proud of our athletes and coaches for their hard work, dedication, and historic accomplishments.

Meanwhile, our Fine Arts Department made history with The Wizard of Oz, our largest theatrical production to date! With more than 750 tickets sold across four performances, our talented students delivered an unforgettable experience for our Cumberland community.

These accomplishments reflect the incredible talent, dedication, and teamwork of our students and staff. Thank you to our parents, families, and community for your continued support!

Arrival & Dismissal Reminder

For both morning arrival and afternoon dismissal, students must be dropped off and picked up at the back of the campus. Only students who have an approved pass issued by campus administration are permitted to be dropped off or picked up at the front of the campus. Thank you for following these procedures and helping us maintain a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal process for all students.

TAIAO Division 2 North Regional Champions 2026

TAIAO Division 2 State Runner-Up 2026

Our Lady Knights Volleyball team capped off an incredible season in TAIAO Division 2! After capturing the Division 2 North Regional Championship, the Lady Knights advanced to the State Championship game and finished the season as the 2026 Division 2 State Runner-Up!

We are extremely proud of our student-athletes and coaches for their hard work, dedication, and determination throughout this historic season. Congratulations, Lady Knights, on an outstanding accomplishment and for representing Cumberland Academy with excellence!

What an incredible weekend for Cumberland Academy! Our production of The Wizard of Oz was our largest theatrical production to date, bringing students from across the district together and selling more than 750 tickets across four performances!

We are incredibly proud of our talented students and Fine Arts team for their hard work and dedication. A special thank-you to Walker Delk and Austin Davis for directing this amazing production and to everyone who helped bring it to life!

One of the highlights was hosting our first-ever student dress rehearsal, allowing elementary students from across the district to experience the magic of live theatre. Thank you to our parents, staff, and community for your tremendous support! Beyond the performances and ticket sales, the greatest success was watching our students build confidence, showcase their talents, and create lasting memories.

If you arrive during the school day, please use the intercom camera and press the button located to the left of the East Gate (Gate A) to request entry into the parking lot. Our staff will respond promptly and assist with access.

As a reminder, regular attendance is essential for student success. Under Texas law, students must attend at least 90% of the days a class is offered to earn course credit. Excessive absences even if excused may result in a loss of credit. Please note that Cumberland Academy High School will not offer Saturday School for attendance recovery during the 2026–2027 school year. Students should attend school every day and arrive on time to remain eligible to earn credit. Review image below.

Cumberland Academy is excited to announce our first esports team! High school students grades 9-12 will compete in Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as we take on schools from across Region VII. Esports helps students build teamwork, communication, strategic thinking, and good sportsmanship, both on and off the screen. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just love a good race, we'd love to have you join us as we build this program from the ground up.

Additionally, we will have payment options available at the athletic events for credit/debit cards or tap-to-pay.
