Hello Navigators,

We had an amazing turnout for our Open House. It was so wonderful connecting with our school community and sharing all we do at Nichols.

We are pleased to announce a new PTO Board was elected.

President- Ashley Rosia-Tremonti

Vice President- Kimberly Martinez

Secretary- Rosa Berdugo

Treasurer-Olga Bieber

We could not hold all the events we do without our PTO. They are critical for events, field trips, assemblies and other classroom needs. Please consider being involved in some way next year to make sure we continue all we do.

Yearbooks will be sold after school beginning Monday for $20. Supplies are limited so pick one up right away. There seems to be some confusion so please note that no yearbooks were free or pre-purchased by PTO for any grade level.

On Friday, June 9th, is our annual Field Day. It is an amazing event which is so much fun for all. Grades TK - 2nd will participate in the morning and 3rd-5th in the afternoon. Volunteers are welcomed. Unfortunately, siblings are NOT permitted to attend the event. This violates our insurance requirements so siblings cannot come on campus, not even to watch.We are also in need of water bottles and are seeking donations for this event.

Tryouts for next year's drama club play, The Little Mermaid are happening on Wednesday, June 7th from 12:30-3. See the flyer for more information.

Next year BASE (Before and After School Enrichment) will run our before and after school programs. Check out their website. More information will be shared soon.

We will continue to focus on Habit 8 this week, Find your Voice, use what we do well to help others. Check out the Leader in Me portion of the newsletter for ideas of how Habit 8 can help at home..

We are so thrilled with out STEAM program. STEAM stands for Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We have Ms. Goulet who teaches the STEM parts of STEAM and Ms. Harmon who teaches Art. Check out the STEAM Newsletter for the latest information.

The After School Achievement Program, ASAP, provides Before & After School care. If you are interested in enrolling your scholar(s), please contact ASAP by calling 760-916-5224 or emailing nichols@asaposide.com.
