Eagle Update

Today has been an exciting end to the month! It was evident that fun was had by everyone at the Harvest parties! I also want to thank you for the amazing turnout we had for Parent Conferences and our fall Book Fair! This is always a fantastic opportunity for parents and teachers to connect on the learning that has taken place so far this year. Our AG students are doing an incredible job engaging in the lessons and activities the teachers are planning which are allowing them to soar to new heights!

Remember that there is no school for students tomorrow. Our teaching staff will be utilizing the day to focus on professional development as they plan and prepare for Trimester 2 learning. There will also be no school on Wednesday, November 11 to honor the Veterans Day holiday.

Don't forget that Daylight Savings will be ending this weekend, so make sure to turn those clocks back and enjoy the extra hour of sleep. With the rainy days and gloomy afternoons here for the next few months, please help us to remind students that they need to walk their scooters and bicycles to the bike racks as soon as they arrive on school property. We have buses with ramps down in our front drop off and those ramps can be hard to see when students are biking or scooting. The rain, umbrellas, and extra cars can also make it difficult for drivers to see riders and vice versa so we want to ensure everyone is safe while arriving and leaving campus.

We will also have our Candy Buy Back Week happening all next week. Feel free to bring in any unwanted candy throughout the week to add to our overall school total. We will keep bins in the front office for all the donations.

Next week (11/2-11/6) bring your unwanted Halloween candy to the office for our annual Candy Buy Back for The Great Candy Challenge! Last year, Archer Glen got 2nd place out of all the area schools and raised over $659 which was 259 pounds worth of candy.

All volunteers will need to complete and have an approved background check on file prior to volunteering each school year. Please click here to complete the form.
