Pauline Central is Building a Legacy

This week our 3rd grade students will begin taking the Kansas State Assessments. These high stakes test provide information about a student's college and career readiness. While our students have not had the benefit of traditional schooling for the past 2 years due to COVID-19, they will be ready because all of our teachers and staff take the time, each and every day to speak to our students, listen to our students, and to provide our students with everything they need to be successful.

Please take a moment to view the article below to help your child prepare for these important tests.

Help Your Child Prepare for Standardized Tests

Standardized tests play a major role in today's schooling. Your child may take one or more standardized tests each year, and her teacher may devote a significant amount of class time to preparation exercises. Several states administer "high stakes" tests, which can have a significant impact on school assessment and funding, determine your child's class placement, or even prevent grade promotion.

Second Step Resource

Our staff continue to prioritize the social emotional learning for our students. Second Step programs are research-based, teacher-informed, and classroom-tested to promote the social-emotional development, safety, and well-being of children from Early Learning through Grade 8.

Your child participates in these lessons designed to help students have more positive attitudes toward themselves and others, show more positive social behaviors in school, and have fewer conduct problems. This results in greater school connectedness, which helps keep students safe and out of trouble.

Pauline Schools PTO Needs YOU!

Our PTO meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. Everyone who is a parent of a student at Pauline South and Pauline Central is a member of PTO. We encourage anyone who would like to attend or participate in any way to contact our PTO president, Bailee Crawford at crawford_bailee@yahoo.com.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5, at 6:00 p.m. in the Pauline South Library. We will be finalizing our plans for the spring carnival.
