Forest Winter Gear Drive!

Dear Forest Families,

We will be hosting another winter gear drive! We are looking for lightly used coats, snowpants, hats, gloves, and boots. Sizes for kids: 4T through Adult L

You can collect any old gear, and drop off in the Forest School vestibule or send them to Ms. Biancalana's office (room 135) with your student(s) anytime between now and winter break! Please wash or clean any items prior to drop off. Items collected will be shared with Forest families. Any extras will be distributed to other schools in D62 or donated to the Self Help Closet of Des Plaines.

If your family is facing hardship, if you need community resources, would benefit from vouchers for school events, or are interested in learning about more opportunities for support, please complete the Google form linked above. The form responses are seen only on an as-needed basis by our SEL team (Gina Biancalana, Maya Donnelly (social workers), Mary McInerney (psychologist), Traci Reiner (assistant principal), and/ or Amber Soike (Principal). D62 has many programs and connections with community partners, and we would love to help during this upcoming holiday season.
