Cougar Chronicle

4/29-5/21 - No lunch visitors eating in the cafeteria

5/21 - Last day of school

The school year isn’t over yet! Every day matters for review, projects, and preparing for the next grade level. Students with strong May attendance are more likely to retain skills over the summer.

The late bell rings at 7:40am. Students should be in their classroom ready to learn. Please email school attendance email/ data clerk and copy your child’s teacher when your child is absent. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our school social worker, Randi Downey, LCSW at: downeyr@fultonschools.org

The end of the school year is filled with activities, many of which requiring space to store materials and supplies. With that in mind, we will need to close our stage to lunch visitors beginning 4/27 through 5/21. If you plan on joining your student for lunch during that time, please notify their teacher, and you can meet your child in the front office and walk with them to our picnic tables/benches outside. You are also welcome to bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic on the lawn! Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

If your child/children will not be attending Cogburn Woods next year, please complete the attached withdrawal form and return to Maria Vera at:

Take the hassle and stress out of back to school shopping and get everything your child needs with the click of a button. These kits are teacher preferred and come directly from their supply list, so you can feel confident your student will be ready from day one. They’re also more affordable than buying everything individually at the store, and every purchase helps support our PTO.

The best part? Your child’s supplies will be packed and waiting in their classroom at Open House!

Don’t wait to order, kits are only available through June 16.

Each month, students get to use Paw Points to visit the Paw Mart (school store). Students can choose to spin the wheel for 50 points for a chance to win fabulous prizes. These fabulous prizes come from donations.

Instead of Goodwill, please consider donating to us. We will gladly accept gently used books, toys, stuffed animals, games, trinkets, etc. Thanks for supporting our kids making respectful, responsible, and safe choices at Cogburn Woods!
