YOUR WEEKLY COMMUNICATION ABOUT ALL THINGS MURASKI

Muraski Tribune22-23: Issue 18YOUR WEEKLY COMMUNICATION ABOUT ALL THINGSMURASKI

A Message from the Principals

Good Morning Muraski Families,

We hope you had a wonderful break and your children made a smooth transition back to school last week. If they are anything like me, it was a struggle to get back in the swing of things, but we are still off to a fantastic start of 2023. It's hard to believe that we are half way through the school year, but we have a great deal of learning left this year and are so excited for the opportunities available to our students over the next several months.

Please take a look below to find our PRIDE Winners, as well as some upcoming events offered within the district and with our PTA.

Let's have a great week and GO MUSTANGS!

Sincerely,

Mike Griffen

Wicked CLE. Tuesday, January 10th / 7:00 p.m. Award-winning true crime author Jane Turzillo brings together the strippers, gangsters, robbers, shady politicians and more from Cleveland’s too rough and rowdy past. From world-class museums and popular sports teams to peaceful parks and charming neighborhoods, Cleveland has a lot to offer. But it has a wilder, darker side. Along the one-block passageway called Short Vincent, tourists and celebrities mixed with bookies and mobsters for drinks and dinner, underworld gossip and all kinds of “entertainment.” In 1969, Ted Conrad disappeared with $215,000 in stolen cash. An obituary more than fifty years later finally told the authorities where he went. In the wee hours of March 24, 1970, someone slipped up to the front of the Cleveland Museum of Art and planted a bomb on the marble pedestal that supported Rodin’s The Thinker. Who and why remain unknown.

Family Science Night: Sound. Ages 3 – 5 with Caregiver. Wednesday, January 11th / 7:00 – 7:45 p.m. Come make some noise as you learn about the science of sound with hands-on experiments and musical activities.

Donate blood today. For more information or to make an appointment visit www.redcrossblood.org or call the American Red Cross at 800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767).

The Strongsville Branch Library is home to both Audio and Video Recording studios that can help you do just that! You must go through an orientation to use the spaces. Impact of Unpaid School Fees

As a reminder, all school fees that have not been paid are now considered past due. To check the balance and pay outstanding school fees, go to Pay Schools Central by clicking HERE. In addition to Pay Schools Central, school fees can be paid by cash/check to your student’s building secretary or with the Treasurer's Office. If you have questions related to this, please contact the building secretary or Dawn Evangelista (devangelista@scsmustangs.org) within the Treasurer's Department. As we are approaching a new school year, as well as the start of fall sports, per Board of Education policy, the consequences for outstanding prior year school fees will prohibit students from participating in any school extracurricular activities (i.e., athletics, student council, school clubs, etc.), field trips, and school sanctioned dances / events that require a purchased ticket.
