Hello Navigators,

Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed spring break. We are excited to welcome students back to campus tomorrow.

On Tuesday, April 18th from 4-7 PM join us for our PTO fundraiser at McDonalds at 487 College Blvd. See this flyer for more information.

We will focus on Habit 4, Think Win-Win. Check out the Leader in Me portion of the newsletter for ideas of how Habit 4 can help at home and how you can help your child use this habit to settle disagreements.

We will hold a TK and Kindergarten registration event from 10 AM - 1 PM on May 1st. Check our school website for more information.

Pre-registration is open for new students for the 2023-24 school year. Links to instructions are on our website. You can complete the online portion of registration, but we will not be accepted the printed packets yet. Please use this time to ensure you have all the necessary documentation and required immunizations. Our TK program is limited to 24 students so register as soon as possible. A waitlist is established for additional students to participate in TK next year. Contact our office with any questions.

Our Leader in Me clubs recently changed and although some clubs continued many students switched. Our clubs offer wonderful enrichment opportunities. If you would like to contribute needed club supplies check out our Amazon Wish List.

Here are some ideas for how to use Habit 4 at home.

Please join our PTO this year. The PTO does so much for our school and we do need your help. We know schedules are busy and there is no obligation for attending meetings or volunteering. We hope you will join to be a member and assist when/if you can.

This year every Wednesday will be a Spirit Day at Nichols. Wear blue or wear your Nichols gear. Due to a scheduling conflict the PTO was unable to sell Spirit Wear last week. Look for them after school. We will work to get consistent days and times.

We are so thrilled with out STEAM program. STEAM stands for Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We have Ms. Goulet who teaches the STEM parts of STEAM and Ms. Harmon who teaches Art. Check out the STEAM Newsletter for the latest information.

Oceanside Unified School District has partnered with Care Solace to help families in need of mental health support. This services can help quickly find available services. The After School Achievement Program, ASAP, provides Before & After School care. If you are interested in enrolling your scholar(s), please contact ASAP by calling 760-916-5224 or emailing nichols@asaposide.com.
