Congratualtions to 7th graders Vivian Gallardo, Ariella Garcia, Paige Lajiness, and Cohen Cessna for being honored at the Region 3 art show. All pieces will be moving onto to be judged at the state level.

One new component of the Madison Middle School PBIS program is the development of a student lead team. Team members help share student voice, model respectful behavior, assist with school-wide activities, and contribute ideas that make our school a welcoming and supportive place for everyone. A few items that the middle school student lead team has taken on include:

• Identifying potential merit trip ideas
• Announcing MadMoney winners on Fridays
• Welcoming students on Fist Bump Friday

The next Middle School Fun Friday event is scheduled for Friday, February 20th. In order to qualify, student must meet the following criteria that will be tracked from February 9th through February 19th.

**Any student with a failing grade in any class will not be eligible**

6th grade:

• Being Prepared for class. (no more than 1 time per class)

• Missing assignments (no more than 1 per class)

7th grade:

• Missing assignments (No more than one total)

• No Discipline Referrals

8th grade:

• Missing assignments (No more than one total)
• No Discipline Referrals

Friday is an early release day for students. Students will attend all 6 classes and be dismissed at 11:00am. No lunch will be served.

This year both new and returning students/families will complete student registration via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This can be done for returning families via the Parent Portal app or by using the link that follows https://www.infinitecampus.com/login

The purpose of this process is to ensure that our records are updated with correct addresses/phone numbers. This process will also eliminate the large number of paper forms that parents are asked to complete at the start of each school year!
