DKG Alpha Epsilon

Please allow me to help you get to know Alpha Epsilon’s own, Nancy Byrge, and owner of Bites by Nancy. She has been catering for 20+ years, and she has worked in the food service industry for my 47 years (including various area restaurants). The intense demand for her delicious food led her to start her own business.

Nancy has lived in Oliver Springs all of her life, and she is always accompanied by her husband Lonnie who takes care of all the heavy lifting and driving. She is a grandmother of 3 and she has 2 great grandchildren. In addition to her business and family, Nancy serves at Faith Promise Church (FP) on the catering team (one specialty is her willingness to accommodate individuals with food allergies). She is also a part of the FP children’s ministry, and she sets up activities for the children weekly with her husband and food for Next Steps Ministry at FP.

In her spare time, Nancy loves working at Southern Bliss and creating experiences for people so that they can enjoy the event they are shopping for in the future. She has been a loyal employee at Southern Bliss almost since the day the doors were opened. Nancy has served on a number of committees, including the Oliver Springs Historical Society. She is instrumental in making sure that everything goes as planned for the annual October Sky Festival.

Nancy is a joyous prayer warrior who blesses others with beautiful spirit and devotion to serving.

Program: Induction of New Members, and Grant-in-Aid Recipient

Purpose #2: To honor women who have given or who evidence a potential for distinctive service in the field of education.

Purpose #5: To endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to women educators from other countries.

Socializing: begins at 4:30 and the program will begin at 5:00 followed with dinner for those who RSVP.

Remember, this is our last regular meeting of the school year. We won't get a chance to get together again until August! We hope to see you there!

New Teacher Appreciation: we would like for anyone who is willing to bring individually wrapped chocolates or your favorite individually wrapped candy to help us fill treat bags for our new teachers to be delivered during state testing. We have approximately 35 new teachers.

Family Resource Center is in need of girls and boys underwear size 6 and 8, gas cards and grocery gift cards if you can bring any of these items to the April 8th meeting it will be greatly appreciated.

Remember the State Convention will be held May 29-31 and the registration form can be found on the Xi State webpage. There are forms for signing up to serve on a state committee as well.
