Let's do this!

School is back in session! Desks are full, socials are busy and everyone is excited! We're so happy to be able to work with our 10 districts again this year!

We have a challenge for you this year! As you know school choice is in abundance right now and we want to really show parents what your school is like inside the classroom. So the challenge is...for every athletic, band, spirit post you create on socials, do a post on something going on in a classroom. The classroom work is so important to share and show because the staff work hard to put together amazing activities to help their students learn the curriculum. The class work is so impressive, why not brag!!

Legislative Update

The Govenor has called a 3rd special session to start Oct 9th and has made it very clear that he wants a voucher. So that means we are gearing up for the fight. Parents, teachers, principals, and community members need to call their legislators and let them know that nothing has changed...we still Do Not Want a Voucher. We actually want the opposite. We need more funding, more teacher pay and less testing accountability.

Right now you can:

1. Follow RootEd, Raise Your Hand Texas, Just Fund It, Texans for Public Education and other advocacy groups on social media to be in the know of what's going on.

2. Attend our Education Webinar that will cover all things we expect to be brought up during the special session. (RSVP below)

3. Talk to your friends and neighbors about what's about to happen and get everyone you know ready for the fight.

Where the Kids Went: Nonpublic Schooling and Demographic Change during the Pandemic Exodus from Public Schools

Where the Kids Went: Nonpublic Schooling and Demographic Change during the Pandemic Exodus from Public Schools

Over the first two school years under the COVID-19 pandemic, K-12 enrollment in public schools decreased dramatically-with losses concentrated among the youngest students-and the pandemic has had historically unprecedented effects on available learning opportunities. But we know little about where these students went and what learning environments they are experiencing.
