St. John's Cherb Choir Performance November 16th, 9:45am Service
We invite you to join us on Sunday, November 16th at the 9:45 a.m. service at St. John’s for a special time of worship featuring a musical selection from our Cherub Choir.
Children in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade are invited to sing during the service. Your child is welcome to dress up as they share their song on stage.
During Pastor Andrew’s sermon, Children’s Church will be available, and activity bags will also be provided to help keep little ones engaged. To ensure a smooth transition, you may sign your child into Children’s Church before the service begins.
We look forward to worshiping with you and celebrating our young singers!
K-8 Christmas Presentation - Tickets Available Now!
We are excited to invite you to our long-awaited combined Christmas celebration: The Promise.
Students from our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade classes will fill the air with joyful music, under the direction of Mrs. Mari Koester and Mrs. Nissa Newsome. Adding to the festive spirit, our middle school drama class, led by Dr. Erica Flesher and Mr. Matthew Walton, and our Handbells Elective, led by Miss Krystal Thompson, will present a beautiful dramatization of the nativity story, bringing the Gospel to life in a moving and memorable way. This joyful celebration will feature many beloved Christian songs, giving you the chance to sing along to cherished carols and reflect on the journey of Joseph and Mary, and the birth of Jesus.
With most of our school participating, we are offering two performances:
- Tuesday, December 16, 6:30 pm
- Wednesday, December 17, 9:15 am
Both shows will require complimentary tickets for entry. If possible, we kindly ask that those with more flexible schedules, including grandparents, consider attending the Wednesday morning presentation. This will help ensure everyone can enjoy the event comfortably. We have limited the number of tickets to 6 tickets per family.
We hope you will join us for a time of music, reflection, and celebration of the true meaning of Christmas!

Veterans Day Celebration
Thank you to all who joined us on Tuesday for our Veterans Day chapels. It was a special morning for our students to pause, give thanks, and honor those who have served our country.
We are especially grateful to Mr. Kevin Sokoloff for sharing his story and reflections from his ten years of service in the U.S. Army, including his time training with NATO and serving in Operation Desert Storm. His message helped our students better understand the courage, sacrifice, and faith that shape a life of service.
To all in our community who have served, we thank you.
Inclement Weather Procedures
As we move into the winter season, we want to remind our families of our Inclement Weather Procedures for delayed starts and school closures. Our priority is always the safety of our students, families, and staff.
Delayed Start:
In the event of a delayed start due to hazardous road conditions, all morning activities and procedures will be delayed by approximately 90 minutes.
-
Before Care options are cancelled.
ELC doors will open at 9:30 AM.
-
K8 doors will open at 9:30 AM, with the school day beginning at 9:45 AM.
-
Dismissal times will remain the same — 3:15 PM for K8 and regular times for ELC.
After Care options resume as normal.
Please allow extra time for travel and take care on the roads. There will be no penalties for tardies or absences on delayed start days, though make-up work may be required to stay aligned with class progress.
School Closure:
If weather or road conditions warrant a full closure, both K–8 and the ELC will be closed. All extracurricular activities and aftercare will also be canceled for the day.
Communication:
Any changes to the school day will communicated via email, on the website and through Remind.
For more detailed information on our School Closure process, please see here.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to keep our community safe.

The Marketing Coordinator will create compelling communications across digital and print platforms, coordinate events, and collaborate with staff to tell the story of our school in a way that reflects our Christian values and mission and positively influences enrollment and retention.
We invite families to share this opportunity with others in their network who may be a great fit for this role.
Please see here for more details. Interested parties should contact Dr. Barnard directly. Applications close on Friday, November 21.
