Good Evening Tigers,

This is Noel Keener, the proud principal of Ragsdale High, with this week's updates.

Parents, if your child will be a new bus rider, attending a new school, or has had an address change for next school year, you should complete the 2025-2026 online Transportation Preference form by Friday, June 13th to guarantee transportation on the first day of school. This is especially important for rising freshman- so if you are that family or know a family, please remind them!

If your child rode the bus during the 2024-2025 school year as an eligible student and there has been no school change and/or address change, families do not have to apply for transportation for the 2025-2026 school year.

Congratulations to our students of the week, Kelly Siu and Diego Auceda-Corona. We also just shared information on our new National Honor Society members. WAY TO GO! Shout out to our athletes of the week Elle Dawson and Kingston McDonald, both a track team members. Speaking of track, Ragsdale was well represented at the 4A Regional Championships May 11. We can't wait to hear the outcome!

Seniors: Don't forget to let Ms. Bradley know of any scholarships, grants, or awards you've been awarded this year by May 19th- this includes ALL offers. We want to recognize you during Awards Day on May 22nd! Senior parents- please see our newsletter to donate or volunteer for our class of 2025 Senior Picnic! Seniors don't forget, you need to focus on getting ALL of your semester 2 credits to ensure that you walk across the stage June 11!

There are just a few days left to buy your prom tickets! The last day to purchase tickets and turn in a guest form is Wednesday, May 14. Tickets are now $60.

AP Exams continue this week and final exams begin June 3rd. More information is available in our newsletter!

• Our Women's Soccer celebrated Senior Night this week vs Western. They even honored Westerns seniors as well. 👏
• Welcome Coach Michael Carnegie! Coach Carnegie will be coaching volleyball at Ragsdale this year! 🎉🎊

AP Exams continue this week. See the schedule below. REMEMBER- students MUST be on time!

Hey Tigers! We are wanting to hear what YOU want to hear for the bell music! Find the request below. QR codes are around the school. You must use your GCS account to make a request (remember- we have to find a good radio edit in order to play).

Final Exams begin on June 3rd. Please remember all exams matter and no students will be released early on exam days.

Teacher-made/District-made exams will be June 3rd and June 4th. These are normal school days for all students, as students will either have an exam or a review session. All students must attend school all day.

State exams will be June 5th and June 6th. Students who are taking a Math EOC (Math 1 or Math 3) will take it on June 5th. Students with a English II or Biology exam will take it on June 6th. Students taking a CTE exam will take it on June 5th, UNLESS they have a Math exam - they will then take it on June 6th. There are about 40 students who need to take English II AND Biology. If this is your student, they will take English II on THURSDAY and Biology on FRIDAY. If your student has any question regarding their testing schedule, make sure to ask a teacher!

Ragsdale YMCA is offering FREE classes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 until 5:30. Are you a staff member? A parent? Come and WORK OUT YOUR STRESS in a fun environment. Bring your water and lets get moving!

Free sports physicals are being offered in High Point on May 31, 2025 from 9am-1pm.

• If you missed Cap and Gown Distribution on April 8th, you can pick up your order with Ms. Alker. If you owe a balance on your order, you must pay it before you will be able to pick it up.

• May 20, 2025: Senior Prank (you must sign up w StuCo- information coming soon!)

• May 21, 2025: Senior Walks at JME, Millis, Union Hill and Pilot - Please wear cap and gown
• May 22, 2025: Senior Awards (students arrive by 6:15pm, event starts at 6:30pm)- Please wear cap and gown
• May 30, 2025: On site Graduation Practice (report to old gym by 9:15am- NO CAP OR GOWN NEEDED) and Senior Picnic
• June 9, 2025: 12:45pm- Mandatory Gradation Practice (no cap and gown) @ Coliseum Special Events Center (Graduation tickets provided at this time- estimated 8 tickets per graduate)
• June 10, 2025: 6-9:30 pm- Senior Sunset and Carnival
• June 11, 2025: 7:30pm- Graduation @ Coliseum Special Events Center (YES TO CAP AND GOWN)

Hello Senior Parents,

Can you believe it's Spring semester of our children's last year in high school! Such an exciting time for everyone. I hope each of your students have had a great four years of learning at Ragsdale and that they will take with them many happy memories of their time spent there. There are lots of fun activities planned for the Seniors in the upcoming weeks and we can use your support. We are planning a picnic on May 30th at the school after one of the scheduled graduation practices. There will be food and drink, the Kona Ice truck, and some fun games for everyone to play. We are asking for donations to help fund the day. On the flyer below is a QR code that will take you to the Ragsdale PTSA website where you can make a donation for the picnic and a code for volunteering and providing giveaway gift cards!
