Freshmen Orientation Freshmen Orientation

Our newest Middies are officially off to a great start! The Class of 2030 had a fantastic time at Freshman Orientation, getting familiar with the high school, learning the ins and outs of life at MHS, and making connections with their Link Crew Mentors. A special shoutout to our Link Crew students, who did an amazing job preparing for the day and enthusiastically welcoming our freshmen! From tours and activities to meeting new people, students had a great opportunity to feel more comfortable and confident about the year ahead. We’re thrilled to have the Class of 2030 join the Midview High School community!

Student Chromebooks

All MHS students will receive their Chromebook during 1st period on the first day of school. Students are expected to charge their Chromebook each night and take care of their device, charger, and Chromebook case. Students with late arrival can pick up their Chromebooks once they arrive in the APR.

Student Lockers

Lockers are available to any student upon request at no cost. Students can request one now or at any point during the school year by completing the Locker Request Form. An assistant principal will assign the locker once the form is submitted.

Many students wait until later in the year—such as during winter months or a new sports season—when they need extra space for coats, gear, or equipment.

Breakfast & Lunch

Cafeteria menus and information regarding student meal accounts can be found on the Midview Local Schools Food Services web page.

Free & Reduced-price Meals

This school year, the State of Ohio's biennial budget includes funding to cover the cost of providing no-cost breakfast and lunch to students who qualify for reduced-price meals. This means all families eligible for free OR reduced-price meals will receive breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE, provided they complete the required application.

  • Visit the Food Services web page for additional information and eligibility criteria or apply directly through PaySchools Central.

MHS Parking

All students who are planning on driving and parking in the high school parking lot must fill out their parking application and pay $35 to Mrs. Onderko in the MHS main office (more info here). Seniors wanting to paint their parking spot (see more info in the Class of 2027 section below) must pay an additional $25, which will go into the event fund for the Class of 2027. JVS students do not have to pay for parking as long as they park in the JVS lot located on the northeast corner of the MHS property. JVS students should stop in the main office to receive their assigned spot and parking pass.

Midview Local Schools App - Rooms

Rooms is Midview’s official parent-teacher communication tool. Integrated directly into our Midview Schools app (available for download on Apple App Store or Google Play), Rooms allows you to receive classroom updates/announcements and send or receive one-on-one messages—all in a secure, easy-to-use platform.

  • New to Midview or haven’t used Rooms yet?: New families and those who have not yet accepted their Rooms invitation will receive an invitation via text message and email on or before September 8, if you are listed as a custodial guardian in FinalForms. Simply follow the link to download the app, select “Rooms” from the bottom navigation bar, and log in using the email address or phone number listed in FinalForms.
  • Returning Rooms user?: We recommend updating the app to the latest version through the App Store or Google Play if you are not prompted to do so when you open the app. The latest version includes new updates and an improved user experience that may not work properly with older versions.
  • For more support, please visit our Rooms Support web page.
