Branagan's Bulletin
Week of April 3 - 7, 2023
Welcome Back!
Hello MHS,
I hope you had a great weekend.
Welcome to April! It is hard to believe that spring is here and we are only two weeks away from the well-deserved, Spring Break. It is important that we work hard over the next two weeks to allow for a STRONG finish to Quarter 3 and a STRONG start to Quarter 4. As you know, Mid-Semester Assessments will take place this week and Quarter 3 will officially close on Thursday, April 6, 2023. I know you will do an incredible job this week with your assessments.
As we enter a new month, I want to give all of you a challenge about kindness. There have been so many moments each day where you see our student body engage in some pretty cool acts of kindness, which is so awesome to see. You never know how much that smile, hello, or outreach can mean to a person. You never know how much your kindness can impact others. However, we have also seen examples of people very unkind to each other, which is not how we operate as a school. The mean and unfriendly examples have no place within our school. Conversely, you never know how a moment of showing a lack of respect or kindness can impact a person and their day. I want our school to demonstrate what a community means and strengthen our work to create a tighter community and family. We all wear the Orange and the Black. We are all Sachems!
I wish you well on your assessments this week! We believe in you!
A great week ahead for MHS!
Can't wait to see you!
Have a great week!
Bran

Middleborough High School is pleased to continue offering the College Boot Camp program to assist your student in their college application process. This program is designed to prepare students who will be applying to a 4-year college or university during the fall of their senior year.
During the week-long session, our main goals are to assist your student with the following: writing their college essay, revising the essay, filling out the Common Application, and setting up SCOIR accounts for teacher recommendations. The Common Application essay will be the main focus, and students should be prepared to write multiple drafts. Students will receive feedback from a teacher and will meet with the teacher one-on-one to discuss their essay. Additionally, students will have access to college essay and application resources through Google Classroom, and these materials will be posted the week before Boot Camp begins for your review.
