Dungeon Crawler Carl Series
In It for Princess Donut 👑😸
Imagine reading the transcript of a video game - the interactions between and among the characters, the obstacles and successes, the rewards and punishments. Alternately, if you’re an audiobook listener, as I am, imagine someone narrating every action within. That - combined with a Deadpool-esque running profanity-laced snark - and you have Dungeon Crawler Carl. This series was commended to me by one of our superintendents and also two English teacher friends, and I thank them all.
I am told that this is quite a sensation and is being made into a television show. I’m not sure who the exact audience is for this book or show, but apparently it’s a wide one. In addition to wondering who the audience is that the author had in mind, I also wonder, at what age are young people starting to read these? Minus the profanity and video game style violence depicted throughout, it seems geared toward a young adult audience.
I welcome anyone else’s take on these. I am up for all of them primarily for Princess Donut (IYKYK).
Did you Know? I didn't.
Michael Myers's mask started out as a 1975 William Shatner as Captain James T. Kirk mask that was purchased for around two dollars.
After considering several mask options, the crew tasked with finding and creating the iconic mask selected "he Capt. Kirk mask was chosen due to its appearance of having no real facial features that could be easily made out. The production crew removed the eyebrows and sideburns, the face was painted flat white, the hair was teased out, and the eyes were opened up and reshaped with scissors."
