Riverview Elementary extends a big thank-you to TMCC’s Edison Campus for welcoming more than 60 of their 4th–6th grade girls for an exciting day of hands-on career exploration. Students had the opportunity to learn about a wide range of Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, including welding, HVACR, automotive mechanics, diesel technology, robotics, CAD, metal machining, architecture, and more.
Experiences like this are incredibly valuable as we work to expose our students to the many career pathways available to them, right here in our region, after high school. Our goal is to ensure all students are prepared for life and career success, and early exposure to high-demand, high-skill industries helps spark interest and build confidence.
The 4th–6th grade boys from Riverview will have their chance to visit TMCC in January, and we can’t wait to see their enthusiasm and curiosity as they explore these incredible programs.
