Happy Homecoming, Largo High School Community!

We are thrilled to celebrate Largo High School’s 56th Homecoming—a moment that connects generations of Lions, past and present, in pride, tradition, and community spirit. Homecoming is more than a week of celebration—it’s a powerful reminder of who we are and what we stand for as a school family.

For our current students and staff, this milestone represents both legacy and possibility. It’s a time to honor those who helped build our proud history while inspiring today’s Lions to leave their own mark.

Homecoming serves as a launchpad into the school year, a time when our school spirit is at an all-time high, fueling excitement, unity, and the drive to excel—both inside and outside the classroom.

May this incredible energy continue to inspire academic success, leadership, and Lion pride that extends far beyond the festivities. Together, we are building a future as strong as our past and as bright as the roar of our collective spirit.

Here’s to a spirited finish to what has been an awesome Homecoming celebration—and to keeping the Lion Pride alive all year long!

With pride,

Principal Lewis

Largo PTSCO Engages in School Learning Walk

Wednesday, October 8, we had the pleasure of welcoming parents and guardians to Largo High School for our Parent Learning Walk. This event provided families with a unique opportunity to get a sneak peek into classroom instruction and see firsthand the great work happening across our building.

The focus of the Learning Walk centered on Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching, focused on Domains 2a (Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport) and 2b (Establishing a Culture for Learning). Parents shared their appreciation for the warm and respectful interactions they observed between teachers and students. They also offered valuable feedback, noting opportunities for classrooms to display more student work and instructional artifacts to create an even more engaging and inviting learning environment.

There will be two additional learning walks this school year, which will focus on different domain. Please connect with our PTSCO if you are interested in joining us in the future.

On Monday, October 13, Largo students participated in panel discussions and were inspired by influential men in the community, under the theme of "A Lion's Pride: The Impact of Present & Active Men."

Thank you to our panelists Danny Prince, Anthony Tilghman, Darius Wheeler, and Lew McAllister for their support and inspiration of our Lions.
