Our spotlight employee of the month is our “new” Kindergarten Teacher, Ms. Stephanie Roselieb. This is Ms. Roselieb’s first year teaching at Bowlesburg, but she is not new to the school or the district. Her loyalty to the East Moline School District runs deep. Can you believe Ms. Roselieb is a former student of Bowlesburg, having attended Kindergarten through fifth Grade? She also attended Glenview Middle School. After graduating from UTHS, Ms. Roselieb attended Western Illinois University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. Guess where she started her teaching career? You guessed it, right here in East Moline! She has been a teacher in East Moline since 1994, having taught Kindergarten for her entire teaching career, 22 years at Hillcrest, eight years at Wells, and if we're lucky, she will end her teaching career here at Bowlesburg. When asked what she likes about teaching, she readily answered, “... the kids, their joy, and seeing their wonderment.”

Ms. Roselieb currently lives in Geneseo. She has a daughter, Mackenzie, who is a dental hygienist. Mackenzie lives in Anawan with her husband, Dylan, who farms with his family. Ms. Roselieb shared that she is expecting a new addition to her family in June. That’s when she gets her new puppy, Hadley, and she is looking forward to it! In her spare time, she enjoys reading and working out.

Why did Bowlesburg Staff choose Ms. Roselieb as the Spotlight Teacher of the month? The answer is very simple. She is the kind of teacher any parent would want for their child. She always has a smile on her face and is continuously developing lessons to make learning enjoyable and worthwhile for her students. All of which, she excitedly shares with colleagues. As a member of the Bowlesburg Leadership Team, she helps with developing plans and goals to make Bowlesburg the best. We are happy that Ms. Roselieb decided to return to her “education home.” We look forward to having her here for the next 3 years.
