Principal's Corner
Dear Ivy Families,
At Ivy, we are constantly striving to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for all of our students and families. To help us understand what we are doing well and where we can improve, we need your feedback!
We strongly encourage every family to take a few minutes to complete the TSD Climate and Culture Survey. Your voice is essential in shaping the experience at our school and across the entire Thompson School District. Whether sharing feedback specific to Ivy or about the district as a whole, your input directly impacts our continuous efforts to support our students and community.
How to Participate:
Survey Link: You can learn more and complete the survey by visiting https://www.tsd.org/climate-and-culture.
Deadline: The survey will close on Friday, November 13th.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your thoughts and partner with us in making our school community the best it can be. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our main office.
Warmly,
Justin Blick
Principal
Reminder for 3rd through 5th Grade Families
Reminder!
3rd-5th Graders will be completing the annual TSD Climate and Culture Survey during the school day the week of October 26th-30th.

Fall weather is here!
Cooler weather is finally upon us! Please don't forget to send appropriate outdoor gear to school with your student(s). We will be going outside for PE and recess unless the precipitation is substantial or the temperature is "feels like" 15 degrees or below. Thank you so much!
Thanksgiving Turkey Request
The Food Bank for Larimer County will be providing Thanksgiving turkeys to families in the Thompson and Poudre School Districts this year. If your family would like to request a turkey, please complete this form by Friday, October 30th. Turkeys will be available for pick-up at Ivy Stockwell on Friday, November 20th, and you will be notified when your turkey is ready. Thank you!
Picture Retake Day - Friday, November 6th
Picture Retake Day is coming up on Friday, November 6th! If your student was absent for picture day in September, they will automatically be added to our "retake list". If you are wanting your child to get picture retakes, please let Katie know at Katie.Charboneau@tsd.org. (If you have already ordered a picture package - but would like retakes - please send your student to school with their picture package to return on retake day.)
We must have a request from parents for picture retake day participation. (This helps us to avoid the confusion of many, many students deciding that they want their picture taken that day "just because".) Thank you so much for your help with this process!
Ivy Stockwell Veterans Day Celebration
Ivy Stockwell Elementary is excited to honor the brave men and women who have served our country during our annual Veterans Day Celebration. We will recognize our veterans with a Veterans Day Parade and a Wall of Honor featuring photos of veterans who are family members or loved ones of our students.

Building Project Update: Changes to Kinder Pickup Area
As our building construction continues, additional fencing will be installed by the end of October near the Kindergarten alcove, which will reduce the space available for drop off and pick up.
Drop-off: Normal procedures remain unchanged.
Pickup: Space will be a bit tight, so line-up locations will adjust slightly:
Mrs. Clegern's Class: Students will line up along the outside wall, down the ramp.
Mrs. Brayfield’s Class: Students will dismiss inside the covered alcove area.
This is our initial plan to ensure a safe, organized dismissal in the smaller space. Thank you for your patience as we test this out and make adjustments as needed!
