Why It Works: People are far more willing to fill out a quick survey than sit down and explain themselves. Surveys uncover insights you’d never get from casual conversation and make follow-up natural instead of forced.

🔹 Opening: Why Surveys Changed My Business

• “Because I’ve made surveys my go-to relationship-building tool, I’ve been able to simplify my business, strengthen follow-ups, serve at a higher level, and prepare thoughtful answers that give people solutions they’re actually interested in — instead of just sharing my favorites.”
• “It’s one link, just like our recommended carts. Use the same survey every time (or a shorter version when needed). Sending it through the Arbonne app lets you track clicks and schedule follow-ups, and because surveys are saved in the app, it’s like having an assistant who remembers everything I can’t. This has become an invaluable tool in my business, and I hope it will for you too.”
• Key message: “Surveys don’t just give me answers — they give me insight, connection, and conversation starters.”

Why It Works: Surveys eliminate guesswork. You stop talking about what you like and start focusing on what they need.

🔹 Part 1: Surveys in Daily Business Building

(My daily goal is to send out 5 survey requests a day and follow up with any that came in the day before.)

1. Initial Reach-Outs (Social Media / New Followers)
• Script: “Hey, thanks for being one of my followers and adding value to my life. I’d love your input on something. I’m working on something to better serve my healthy living community, and I have a goal of finding 100 people to fill out this survey so I can have a better understanding of what the vibe is right now in the health and wellness industry. Would you fill this out for me? I’ll send you a little gift in the mail just for helping me out — I appreciate you so much.”

2. Follow-Ups (Old Friends / New Connections / Warm Leads)
• Script: “Hey, I’m working on a big project right now, and I’m gathering information from my friends and new connections about their health and wellness goals. I wondered if you would help me reach my goal of having 100 people fill it out. It would mean a lot to me, and then I’ll follow up with you afterwards. I’ll send you a little gift in the mail just for doing it — I appreciate you so much.”

3. Past Clients
• Script: “Hey Maria, it’s Ginger McKenzie. I don’t know if you remember me, but you were a client of [mine / someone on my team] a while back. I wondered if you’d be open to reconnecting about all the new things happening in Arbonne. There’s no pressure, but so much has changed that it would be fantastic to see if anything new would be of value to you. If you could fill out this survey, I’d have a better understanding of what to recommend. And I’ll send you a gift just for doing so. I appreciate you so much.”

4. Current Clients
• Script: “Hi Jenny, it’s Ginger. I can’t thank you enough for your business and your friendship, and I sure wish we could see each other more. I’m doing something really exciting and new for my business and for my clients that involves you taking a few minutes to fill out a survey so that I can make the best recommendations and also have my eyes out for anything new that might be of value to you. Would you please fill this out for me? I’ll send you a little something-something in the mail for your efforts. Thank you so much — I appreciate you so much.”

Trade Shows
• Keep the survey shorter → quick and approachable.
• Script: “Thanks for stopping by today! I’d love if you could fill out this quick survey so I can follow up with some tailored recommendations. And I’ll send you a little gift in the mail just for doing it — I really appreciate your time.”

Why It Works: A daily survey habit creates a steady stream of fresh conversations. It feels light, duplicatable, and safe — both for you and the person you’re reaching out to.

⸻

🔹 What the Survey Uncovers

• Lifestyle + Pain Points → fatigue, stress, skin issues, etc.
• Product Interests → nutrition, skincare, makeup → helps you “sort and serve.”
• Business Interests → subtle questions about extra cash, flexibility, community.
• Vision Questions → goals, what they’d love more of in life.
• Timing & Availability: Time zone and best time to call → built-in permission for follow-up appointments.
• Event Preferences: Strategic questions reveal what type of event they’d consider — in-person, online, a survey party, or even just sharing with a friend. This gives you a natural opening to say, “Hey, you marked this on your survey — could we get that booked?”

Why It Works: It gives you a 360° picture of the person — not just what they buy, but what they care about most, how they’d like to connect, and where the door is open for the next step.

⸻

🔹 Part 2: Surveys as an Event Tool

1. In-Person Hosted Events
• RSVP Built Into the Survey:
• Guests RSVP by filling out the survey.
• Includes a question: “Who invited you?” so hostess gets credit.
• Drop-down menu for attendance → “Yes, I’ll be there” / “No, I can’t make it.”
• Either way, you capture valuable info.
• Prize Incentives:
• Drawing #1: Every completed RSVP survey (before the event) = entry into a prize drawing, even if they can’t attend.
• Drawing #2: A separate drawing at the event, just for attendees.
• Double incentive = higher completion + stronger attendance.
• Event Flow:
• If not done beforehand, guests fill it out at the event (like a wellness profile).
• If someone leaves without ordering, you have a natural opportunity to ask for a follow-up as they’re heading out.
• Script: “Hey Jenny, I know we weren’t able to really connect on some favorites tonight, but I want to make sure I answer your questions. Because you were able to fill out that survey, I’ll give you a call in the next couple of days to follow up about your answers. How’s that sound?”

Why It Works: RSVP surveys build commitment before the event even starts, and they give you a built-in reason to follow up whether or not the person orders. They also capture event preferences — if someone marks they’d be open to an online event, a survey party, or sharing with a friend, you now have a natural next step: “Hey, you mentioned you’d be willing to do this — could we get that booked?”

⸻

2. Online Events (FB, Zoom, etc.)
• Send the survey beforehand → it serves as their RSVP, plus preps you with talking points.
• Use answers as conversation starters after the event.

Why It Works: Online events often feel flat — surveys personalize the follow-up so people feel seen, not just part of a crowd.

⸻

🔹 Part 3: Post-Event & Ongoing Follow-Up

• The “Non-Order” Guest:
• Script: “Thanks again for filling this out! You mentioned stress + sleep. Can I share something that might help with that?”
• Event Attendees:
• “Loved seeing you at the event! I noticed in your survey you’re interested in gut health. Here’s a resource you might like.”
• Non-Attendees (who RSVP’d):
• “Sorry we missed you at the party—but I’d love to follow up on what you wrote in your survey.”

Why It Works: You’re following up with their words, not your agenda. It feels personal, not pushy.

🔹 Part 4: Surveys as a Team Training Tool

• Simple & Duplicatable: New consultants can lean on the survey instead of worrying about scripts.
• Confidence Builder: Surveys make the first reach-outs less scary.
• Tracking & Coaching: Surveys stay stored in the app = your personal assistant for remembering details.
• Role Play: Have new consultants share survey responses so you can practice how to reply.
• Three-Way Follow-Up: Perfect opportunity to involve you as a mentor.

Why It Works: Surveys lower the fear barrier, give new consultants confidence, and give leaders a hands-on coaching tool.

🔹 Part 5: Surveys as Content Goldmine

• Social media posts → based on common answers.
• Lives & reels → address recurring struggles.
• Newsletters → written in their own words.

Why It Works: The exact words your audience uses are the exact words that will resonate in your content.

⸻

🔹 Part 6: The “Surveys for Everything” Mindset

• First thing I think of in any scenario: “Have you asked them to fill out a survey yet?”
• Reconnect with old friends, current clients, event guests, trade show attendees.
• Use responses for personalized follow-up carts, product launches, and reconnections.

Why It Works: Making surveys your go-to ask keeps your pipeline full, creates natural follow-ups, and helps you serve at a higher level.

🔹 Part 7: Surveys for New Consultant Onboarding

• People share more on a survey than in conversation.
• Key questions: their why, first 10 people, work ethic, hours they’ll commit, dream goals.
• Revisit later to remind them of why they started.
• Shareable template → customize your own version.

Why It Works: Gives you insight into your consultants’ motivations and goals — and gives you permission to bring those dreams back up when they hit discouragement.

🔹 Closing: Cast the Vision

• “When I started using surveys, I realized they aren’t just forms—they’re trust-builders, referral generators, and conversation starters. They’ve made me a better listener, a better connector, and a better business builder. If you want deeper impact and more natural conversations, this is the simplest system to start. And the proof is in the pudding — the numbers speak for themselves.”

🟢 Final Action Step

• “I want to encourage all of you to download the JotForm app if you haven’t already. And to make it super easy, I’ll also provide a Boards link with step-by-step instructions on how to take my survey template and make it your own
