Dear Families of 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders,

NJSLA testing for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students is quickly approaching. Please see the testing schedule below.

As we prepare, a few important reminders to help students perform at their best:

• Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep in the days leading up to testing
• Provide a healthy breakfast each morning of testing
• Make every effort to have your child arrive to school on time so they can begin testing with their peers

We appreciate your support in helping our students feel prepared and confident.

Monday, May 11th from 4 to 5 pm.

I hate to ask again, but in the past we’ve had families generously donate smaller soccer goals for our students to use during recess.

If anyone has any old soccer nets or goals (approximately 4x3, 5x3, or 6x3) that you would be willing to donate, we would truly appreciate it.

Russell Knight has been invited by Cooper Elementary School to participate in their 8th Annual Night of Cultures. This is a great opportunity for our students, families, and staff to share their cultures, backgrounds, and family traditions not only within our Knight community, but also with our broader Cherry Hill community at Cooper.

We would love to have strong representation from Russell Knight.

I’m sure many of you are aware that NeeDohs have become a very popular item for our students. I wanted to make you aware of some concerning content circulating on YouTube that encourages children to place these items in the microwave, which can cause them to explode.

There have been reports of children being burned, in some cases severely, as a result.

We wanted to share this so you are aware and can reinforce safe use at home.
