New Classroom Signs
This school year we have new classroom and common room signs. Some teachers indicated in their welcome letter to look for a specific color sign at orientation, open house, or on the first day of school. All of our signs are now the same, but are clearly labeled and double sided. - We apologize for any confusion.

Attendance Information:
All absences must be entered through the Parent Portal.
Click here for more information, including directions on how to upload a student absence: Managing Student Attendance.
Dismissal Help for New Students:
Dismissal can be stressful during the first few days of school, especially for new students. We have found that sending your child in with a tag on their backpack with dismissal reminders can help. We will have staff members throughout the building to assist with students who are still learning their way around.
Transportation Information:
The Transportation tab in your Parent Portal Account will list your child(ren)'s bus number, as well as pick up/drop off times & location.
Your child may ride only the bus to which he/she has been assigned unless an Alternate Bus Stop Request has been approved. The Central Bucks Transportation Department may approve requests for childcare or shared custody situations. A form must be submitted every year: Alternate Bus Stop Request.
School busses drop off and pick up students at Door # 17, under the Gayman Elementary peak in the front parking lot. For safety reasons, we ask that parents refrain from driving through the bus line during arrival and dismissal.
Please read the following message from the Transportation Department:
We ask parents to be patient during the first two weeks of each new school year. Drivers need time to adjust to new stops on their runs and to the needs of their passengers. We suggest students arrive 10 minutes early until a routine is established. We are especially mindful of the kindergarten and first grade students during this time. Additionally, individual schools extend the time for loading each bus to ensure that all students are placed on the correct bus.
Walkers:
All students who walk to and from school will enter and exit via the back playground doors. For arrival, all students will enter the building using door #10.
Please meet your child by the sidewalk on Burnt House Hill Road, at the end of the day.
Car Riders - Drop off & Pick up Procedures:
Drop Off: Students who are car riders should enter the parking lot via the Burnt House Hill Road entrance. Please stay to the right and park your car along the sidewalk, in front of the Gayman Library entrance. Kindergarten through 3rd grade students will enter through the 3rd grade door (Door #2), while 4th through 6th grade students will enter through the library door (Door #3). Parents will remain in their cars and students will exit on the passenger side. Gayman staff members will be available to assist children.
Pick Up: Each family is asked to have a "pick up placard" that can be displayed in your car window. These placards will be available for pick up at the Open House. We will also have some available at car rider pick up the first few days of school. Please write your child's last name and grade level(s) on the placard. A staff member will call your child's name to exit the building. Students will enter vehicle on the passenger side. Please be patient during the first week of school, as this may take our students a little longer to remember this routine.
**Car Rider placards will be available for pick up at the Open House.**
Required Health Exams:
Pennsylvania mandates the following health examinations:
- Physicals: School entry (Kindergarten), grades 6 and 11
- Dentals: School entry (Kindergarten), grades 3 and 7
The completed health forms are due to Mrs. Sara Hedges, school nurse, no later than October 17, 2025.
You can upload your completed exam forms to your child's Parent Portal account or email them to shedges@cbsd.org. Please keep a copy of the health forms for your records. Thank you!

Before and After School Care for 2025-2026:
The district welcomes CB families in need of before and/or after school childcare provided by Central Bucks School District to register in the program now for the 2025-26 school year.
- Families who are returning to the program should register here.
- Families who are new to the program should register here.
The school-based CBSD Before and After School Childcare Program is a natural extension of the school day that benefits families and the community by providing a safe, nurturing space for children to grow socially and emotionally while having fun. If you have any questions, you can contact CBSD School Age Childcare Program Coordinator Dana Hahn at dahahn@cbsd.org.
Volunteering Information:
To volunteer at a class party or chaperone a field trip, your clearances must be up-to-date & on file with Central Bucks School District.
If your clearances are current, upload them into the RAPTOR - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions. For more information, consult the Human Resources Volunteer Required Paperwork webpage.
**We no longer have access to App Garden. All clearances approved through that system are null and void. The only way we can track clearances now is through RAPTOR.**

Changes to MySchoolBucks Fees and Meal Payment Limit:
Earlier this summer, the district received information from MySchoolBucks (MSB), our meal payment service, regarding upcoming pricing adjustments.
Beginning August 1, 2025, the fee for credit/debit card payments will increase to $3.50 per transaction from $3.25. Additionally, the maximum meal payment limit will increase to $150 per transaction. According to MSB, the increase is being implemented to help cover rising operational costs and to continue offering a secure and user-friendly online payment experience.
MySchoolBucks plans to send an email to families who have automatic meal payments set up through MSB by July 21. Parents and guardians can begin adding funds to their CBSD MSB account for the 2025-26 school year beginning August 1. As a reminder, parents and guardians can also send in a check with their student(s) that can be given to a cafeteria cashier. The e-check fee will remain the same.

Kindness Counts Club 2025-2026:
We’re looking forward to another school year of serving our community and creating a ripple effect of kindness at Gayman and beyond!
KCC will look a little different this year, to ensure all club members are having the kind of experience they deserve, and to widen the scope of projects and activities:
- There will be a KCC for grades K through 2nd (primary), and a KCC for 3rd through 6th (intermediate). The Intermediate KCC will meet monthly; the primary KCC will meet bi-monthly, separate from the intermediate group. This will allow more age-appropriate projects as well as more space in the library during meetings.
- Students who wish to join KCC in grades 3rd through 6th will need to apply. The application process will not be complicated or time-consuming; it will simply allow students (and parents) to reflect on whether KCC is something they want to commit to for the school year. Additional information and applications will be available the first week of school.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Megan Monforte at meganmonforte9@gmail.com.
