National Junior Honor Society applications are open for current 7th graders. Students need to have a 90% or above average across their 4 core classes from the first semester in order to qualify for NJHS. A Note from Nurse Sibley
Parents of Rising 7th Graders:
If your student is missing the required TDaP and/or Meningococcal vaccine, you should have received a letter on Thursday. The State of Texas requires that every 7th grade student in public school have these vaccines in order to remain enrolled. If your student gets his or her wellness exam over spring break, please email the new vaccine record to me so I can update our records. If you received the letter and your student has had these vaccines, all I need is a copy of the record. If you prefer to file for a vaccine waiver, you can do that at this address: https://www.dshs.texas.gov/immunizations/school/exemptions. These can take a few weeks to complete so I encourage you to file sooner rather than later. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. My email is candace.sibley@gcisd.net. PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
Our next big fundraising event, our first annual Pickleball Tournament on Sunday, April 13th from 12:30 - 4:00 p.m. at Chicken N Pickle, Grapevine. This will be so fun for the whole family! We hope you can join us! Sign up to play and buy merch TODAY!
STUDENT STAFF BASKETBALL GAME CONCESSIONS
CMS will host our annual Staff vs. Student basketball game on Thursday, March 13th.
This is where we need your help! We are asking for donations of items to be sold for concessions. They need to be individually wrapped items that are peanut and chocolate free! Sign up here, and send in your donation to the campus Learning Commons (library) no later than Tuesday, March 11th. Money that is raised will go into our 8th grade activity fund that will help offset our bus costs and any scholarships that we provide for students to go on the 8th grade field trip at the end of the year.
