District Families Have Fun at MATH MANIA Night!
Students and families enjoyed a fun-filled evening this week at Math Mania Night!
Everyone had a blast exploring hands-on math games, snapping awesome photos with JiJi from ST Math, and even entering for a chance to win a game to take home.
A big congratulations to Mark Twain Elementary for taking home this year’s Math Night Trophy!
BMS Mock Trial Team Qualifies for State Competition
The BMS Mock Trial Team placed 2nd at their regional competition on Thursday, earning an invitation to the 2025 Iowa Middle School Mock Trial State Tournament.
This is the inaugural year for the BMS Mock Trial program. Over the past few months, the team has gone from ground zero to outscoring 12 other teams (many with extensive experience). With the assistance of their coaches Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Fry and extensive support from attorney Drew Thompson of local legal firm Lane & Waterman, these students have exceeded all expectations for a first year team.
The team showed exceptional commitment and grit in their preparations for regionals and are excited to jump back in to prepare for the state tournament on December 1st-3rd in Altoona.
