Welcome Back!

I am excited to have the classrooms and hallways filled with students next week!

All class placement letters have been mailed out! If you have not received an email or letter telling you who your child's teacher is, please email me and I will let you know. In your letter, there was a lanyard provided so you can indicate your child's first week of school dismissal plans. Sometimes these plans are different than typical dismissal plans, so we want to make sure your child is getting home the correct way. Please make sure they have them on the first day of school!

A new addition to our staff: Our new kindergarten teacher is Taylor Lundsted. We are very excited to have her join our Kindergarten team!

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures:

Parent Drop Off

Students may be dropped off at the main entrance (around the loop) or on the side of the building

(between the building and the parking lot). Staff will be visible and available to greet students. Please

do not allow your students to leave your vehicle before 8:25 AM (music starts at 8:25 AM signaling

the start of the day).

Parent Pick Up

Students being picked up will go to the gym, then will be walked to their locations by staff. We ask that drivers please stay in the vehicles so that we can get all students on their way quickly to alleviate congestion in the parking lot. Parents should display their car tag indicating who they are picking up. Students will be assigned a specific location to be picked up, with each location identified by a color:

Students assigned to the BLUE location will be picked up at the main entrance (around the loop);

students assigned to the RED or YELLOW location will be picked up on the side of the building

between the building and the parking lot. There will be signs posted on where to go. Yellow will be in front of the cars and red will be all the way to the left side of the lot near the book bins. I know that this may be a learning process for some of you. It may take a few days for us to make this a smooth process so please be patient!

Last Names A through F are Blue.

Last Names G through M are Yellow.

Last Names N through Z are Red.

We will continue to use Pick Up Patrol as our primary system for student dismissals, late arrivals and absences.

Our Meet and Greet on 8/27 we will end with "Popsicles with the Principals." Both Ms. Willbarger and I will be free to meet families while students have the chance to enjoy a popsicle.

August 29 - First day for Pre School

September 2 - No School, Labor Day

September 10 - No School, Staff PD Day

September 24 - School Pictures
