Peterborough Elementary School

It has been an exciting week here at PES! On Wednesday night, our kindergarten students gave a wonderful performance of The Mitten. They truly did an outstanding job, and we are so proud of their hard work!

During today’s all-school meeting, we were treated to a special presentation by our 4th graders. They put their own creative spin on the book What If Everybody Did That?, with students from Mrs. L’s class sharing their versions of the story. Following that, our 1st graders sang a song that tied to their recent animal unit. In addition, we were fortunate to have National Honor Society students from ConVal come in to read to our classrooms.

When students return from break, we will begin NHDI. We hope you can join us on Thursday night, 3/6, for the performance! Kindergarten through grade 2 will perform from 6:00-6:30 p.m., and grades 3-4 will perform from 7:00-7:30 p.m. Doors will open for K-2 students at 5:45 p.m., and teachers will be available to supervise them. Students in grades 3-4 should arrive at 6:50 p.m. If you are attending the second performance, we kindly ask that you wait until closer to 6:50 p.m. to arrive, allowing us time to clear out the parking lot between performances. Thank you!

It has truly been a week full of learning, creativity, and community spirit. I hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved break!

Hello Fourth Grade Families,

The ConVal School District is putting on their 3rd annual district-wide concert this year for Music in Our Schools Month, which will include students from 4th to 12th grade. PES fourth graders have been invited to participate and have been working extra hard to prepare for BOTH the upcoming District Band and Choral Concerts. While this event is in no way required for students, the Band Concert will be held on Thursday, March 13th @ 6:30 PM and the Choral Concert will be held on Wednesday, March 19th @ 6:30 PM in the ConVal High School Gymnasium. Students who would like to participate should arrive no later than 6:10 PM. They will be sitting with their classmates in order to expedite transition times. Fourth graders do not have a specific dress code but should dress nicely (no t-shirts or pajamas please!). I hope you can make it!
